Xenon is a planet in the Hugopata Quadrant. It is the most mysterious planet in the galaxy with a thousand terrible legends surrounding it.[1] It has earned the reputation of being a destination of no return, as proven by the thousands of shipwrecks left by those who tried to navigate through the asteroids and perpetual darkness.

Landscape

The combination of gases in Xenon's outer atmosphere gives the planet an intense green glow.[1][2]

Xenon is home to some of the rarest plant life in the galaxy - much of it planted by Azmuth himself.[1][3]

Azmuth chose Xenon as a way to escape the "mayhem" of the rest of the universe and to be able to continue his work in peace. He and Myaxx created a device that absorbs all the light in the vicinity, thus creating perpetual darkness around Xenon. That, combined with the large asteroids surrounding Xenon, force ships, who attempt to come close, to crash blindly into the asteroids. Azmuth created a homing beacon in the Omnitrix so that if it is ever in range, the Omnitrix will lead the user through the dark oblivion to get to Xenon.

Etymology

Xenon was named after Xenon, a noble gas in the periodic table.

The name is also a nod to the fictional planet Krypton (Superman's home planet), which is itself named after a noble gas.

Trivia

  • The Hugopata Quadrant is an unchartered section of space because no ships can survive long enough to explore it.[1][4]
  • Azmuth's compound is built from one of Xenon's strange but natural formations.[1][5]
