Vilgax's Champion Sword is a weapon used by Vilgax.
Appearance[]
It looks like a normal sword, but is also used in less conventional ways than a regular sword, where it either gets coated in fire or encased in purple crystals in certain situations.[1][2]
Functions[]
It can project energy beams and coat its blade in flames, or crystals able to refract energy blasts such as Chromastone's. The sword crystals used against Chromastone is able to absorb all the energy that Chromastone fired at it, ceasing to use the crystals shortly after absorbing such energy.
Even without the flames or crystal, this sword is incredibly sharp, able to easily cut though stone, Cooper's robot's missiles, Chromastone's body, and even an entire space ship with a single stroke.
Vilgax's sword is also capable of shooting a red laser capable of weakening and detransforming Azmuth transformed into Humungousaur.[3]
History[]
Alien Force[]
Vilgax's Champion Sword first appeared in Vengeance of Vilgax: Part 1, being used in Vilgax's fights against Plumbers' Helpers, more specifically to stop the missiles that Cooper fired and would be used against Helen (who was passed out) if Manny had not intervened.
In Vengeance of Vilgax: Part 2, the sword is used against Ben, in particular by absorbing the energy that Chromastone fired at it and to destroy Chromastone.
In Ghost Town, Vilgax uses the sword to fight Zs'Skayr and other Ectonorites, and it is also used to destroy Vilgax's throne so that a large amount of light is generated.
In Primus, Vilgax uses his sword to release a red laser that weakened and detransformed Azmuth transformed into Humungousaur. The sword also became giant along with Vilgax, but returned to its normal size a while later.
In The Final Battle: Part 2, Vilgax lost his sword (along with his other weapons) after transforming into his "true form".
Ultimate Alien[]
Vilgax's Champion Sword reappeared in Night of the Living Nightmare, where Vilgax fought against Ben in his nightmare.
In The Ultimate Enemy: Part 2, Vilgax's Sword, along with his other weapons, returned after he returns to his normal form.
