The Ultimatrix was a device created by Albedo, based off his original Ultimatrix. It is a stabilizer as opposed to a full DNA-altering device, as Albedo gained the ability to alter his DNA at will in Double or Nothing, however as a result of Ben's interference, he was unable to remain in any alien form for more than a few moments at a time.

Appearance

This Ultimatrix looked a lot like the original Ultimatrix but half the size, as it only went up to the user's wrist instead of their forearm. It was worn on the back of the hand rather than the wrist. This Ultimatrix was also missing the previous Ultimatrix's black button and wrist couplings. Before it took this form, it resembled the Omnitrix, except red instead of green, however, it was smaller and lacked the stripes. It was originally green until Albedo inserted a device into it.

All of the aliens used with this Ultimatrix (except Albedo's true form and the Ultimates) had the same appearances as Ben's aliens in his Omnitrix (albeit with color differences and mirrored clothing).

History

Background

After the events of Night of the Living Nightmare, the Ultimatrix was created by Albedo to stabilize his transformations.

Omniverse

In The Ultimate Heist, posing as Ben, Albedo made no use of Ultimatrix and claimed he was simply getting combat training in his human form. When he, Rook, Fistina, Solid Plugg, and Argit stormed a Techadon hideout, Albedo transformed into Wildvine and restrained them, shedding his disguise.

Prior to a brief fight with Inspector 13, Albedo claimed a Polymorphic Crystal was needed for "Ultimate power". After a fight with Ben, Albedo inserted the crystal into the Ultimatrix, changing its appearance from that of the Omnitrix to a form similar to the original Ultimatrix. Albedo then displayed his use of the Ultimate Forms and later used the device to assume his normal Galvan form, but following that, he assumed his own Ultimate form.

After Albedo was defeated in For a Few Brains More, Azmuth modified the Ultimatrix, so he was not only transformed back into being an imperfect clone of Ben but was also transformed into an 11-year-old, much to Albedo's dismay.

Albedo continued to use the Ultimatrix to work with Vilgax on two occasions, to destroy all the Bens across the Multiverse in And Then There Were None and to take over Galvan Prime in Malgax Attacks, where the Ultimatrix is disabled by Azmuth using the Omnitrix Disabling Device.

• The Ultimatrix was used to stabilize Albedo's transformations, making it so that he can stay in any form as long as he wants.
• The Ultimatrix automatically reverted the user back into their normal form when they got sufficiently hurt or knocked out.
• The Ultimatrix could be removed from Albedo's body easily.
• The Ultimatrix was ​​compatible with the Polymorphic Crystal, which if inserted will allow Albedo to access his Galvan form and the Ultimate forms.
• The Ultimatrix could change Albedo's appearance, potentially making him younger.

• Much like the original Ultimatrix, the Ultimatrix could evolve the aliens that Albedo turn into their Ultimate Forms after the acquisition of Polymorphic Crystal.
  • Furthermore, the Ultimatrix had the ability to evolve the user itself.

Known Aliens

This Ultimatrix did not contain any DNA inside of it, as it was a stabilizer instead of a DNA-altering device. However, after the events of The Ultimate Heist, thanks to the Polymorphic crystal, this Ultimatrix was capable of evolving Albedo's forms, including his original form. Trivia

Incorrect Design

• Azmuth, in contrast to his opinion on the original Ultimatrix, called the stabilizer a clever device, claiming it could run forever.
• Albedo was drawn as having the new Ultimatrix on the wrong way around in The Ultimate Heist, as the black squares should be by Albedo's knuckles.
• Despite bearing the same name as its predecessor, this Ultimatrix had little in common with the original device, nor any other Omnimatrix device, as it contained no DNA samples and couldn't transform a user into another species. All it could do, aside from stabilizing Albedo's transformations, was to allow its user to evolve into an Ultimate form.
  • Interestingly enough, this same feature was an addition to the original Ultimatrix made by Albedo and not originally a function intended by Azmuth.
• If a Slime-Biot were to attach themselves to the Ultimatrix, it would be like eating nothing but junk food all of the time.
• Azmuth will salvage a few usable parts and destroy the rest once he takes it from Albedo sometime in the future.
