Thumbskull is a minor recurring villain who is regularly accompanied by his teammates Frightwig and Acid Breath.
Appearance[]
Thumbskull is a hulking figure. As his name implies, he has a giant toenail on his otherwise bald forehead.
In Omniverse, he looks more muscular, and his chin is much larger. He now has one large finger on his hands and feet, complete with a single fingernail on his chest, and the thumb on his forehead is a lighter green.
Personality[]
Thumbskull's role within the Circus Freak Trio is to act as the muscle of the team. He is a bit dim, for instance, he once took a rhetorical question of Zombozo's literally.[2] He also often acts before thinking, which has led to his downfall, both in terms of combat[1] and when negotiating with Zs'Skayr.[3]
History[]
Ben 10[]
Thumbskull first appeared in Last Laugh. He performed in a circus to attract an audience and later went out to rob while Zombozo fed on the laughter of the town. He and the other Circus Freaks were stopped by Wildmutt but saved by Zombozo.
In Ghostfreaked Out, Thumbskull and the rest of the Circus Freaks robbed Bancroft Academy, until they were stopped by Zs'Skayr, who later forced them to work for him. He later battled Four Arms and failed to capture Grey Matter.
In Ben 10 vs. the Negative 10, Thumbskull, Acid Breath and Frightwig were part of the Negative 10.
Omniverse[]
Thumbskull appeared in Something Zombozo This Way Comes when he and his team were re-hired by Zombozo to distract Ben while he fed off people's fear. He was defeated by Frankenstrike when he dropped a High Striker on him. After Zombozo escaped, he and his team were arrested by the Plumbers.
Powers and Abilities[]
Thumbskull has incredible strength.
Thumbskull's durability is enough to bend steel in the neck without feeling pain.
Weaknesses[]
Thumbskull has limited intelligence, normally serving as the brawn of the group. As such, he is easily outsmarted by more intelligent opponents.
Thumbskull is vulnerable to being possessed by an Ectonurite.[3]
Thumbskull is vulnerable to electricity, as shown when he got electrocuted trying to tear a hole in the Rustbucket.[4]

Etymology[]
Thumbskull's name is portmanteau of the word "thumb" and the insult "numbskull".
