So, for characters that are mainstays of the franchise like Ben, Gwen and Kevin, their lengthy history sections are split to separate pages and links are provided to the pages. However, I think it would look better if we presented those pages as tabs on the main page, instead of having to click links to the separate pages.
For your vote to be counted, you must type out one of the three templates in source mode.

    • Oppose Oppose — A good idea in theory, but even a single of those tabs would make reaching the bottom of the parent page an impossible task.

    • Oppose Oppose — Good idea but if the things would be arranged in this way then where would the appearances and trivia would be? And what would be the name of the tab which would include appearance, powers and abilities, weaknesses, etc. Appearances is also a type of history as they appeared in the past.

If the appearances would be in the tab which includes appearance, powers and abilities, etc then that would imagine how would it look? And if the appearances would be in the tab which includes history then there would be a mess in that tab because we would know that in which episode they appeared and there would be no need to read the appearances part.

Trivia should be at the end of the page, so how could the history tab include trivia as they are not related with each other?

You misunderstood my suggestion. I'm not saying that all of the article's sections should be organized in tabs.

In the history section of Ben Tennyson/Classic for example, you can see that there are links to pages for the history of Ben in each series. Those pages could be presented as tabs in the history section of the main article.

    • Oppose Oppose — We had problems with tabs under tabs in articles in the past especially with shared and merged articles.

    • oppose- it's harder that way

    • Oppose Oppose — Admittedly the current way the wiki handles the history section is sloppy. Changes are due. But as the admins said, tab under tab has issues and even one history section for articles like Ben Tennyson/Classic are pretty long.

But yes, changes should be made. I propose a few ideas:
      A. Make it like the Gallery (how the different series Gallery links are presented in the main Gallery article) or Omnitrix/Classic article. (The user interface will be much better)
      OR
      B. Add a clickable drop-down button. I can help on the code to a new template, which practically works like the Gallery pages do for different episodes - add a "collapse" button (or by default). So how this works is, the 4/5 history sections' names will be presented, and the reader can just click on "expand" and the entire section will be viewable in the drop-down. It would also keep the page aesthetically short as the readers not wanting to read the history sections will not have to scroll all that much. I think this, idea is much closer to what you want.

UPDATE: I tried option B and it works flawlessly. The only issue is that on the mobile website, the collapse feature doesn't work, so effectively, anyone opening the history tab (on the mobile website it itself if collapsed) will be greeted with the entire history section (all series)

    • Not eligible to vote but I'm just gonna make a suggestion. If the issue is that tabs would make the page too long on PC but having drop-down templates would make it too long on mobile, then why not just add an empty tab marked "Close" to the tabs presented, as demonstrated here? On PC you could just hit the "Close" tab to close the history section and shorten the page, and on mobile, the tabs present themselves as a list of links, thereby not taking up a crapton of scrolling space.
