XLR8 is much more efficent. He has wheels, a helmet, and he is faster. Sure, Fasttrack is strong, but he keeps tripping or sliding or whatever. Why was he ever created?

That is describing Ultimate Alien in a nutshell. Few Ultimates, and annoying knock-offs (well, I think that Eatle is unique in terms of his powers, but Fasttrack, on the other hand, is a repeat)
Well at the time, Eatle had a pretty generic/ uninspired design and lacked the ability of Upchuck's tongues. But, Omniverse redesigned him, so that made me like him better nowadays.
^^^^ yes
I, obviously differ from most of you, don't hate Fasttrack. I think its more realistic that since there is so many alien species in Omniverse, to have at least a couple have the same powers. His appearance needs to change, too, though.
That's a fair reason; I don't think many of us doubt that (regarding the same powers). However, the writers were clearly being lazy at that point. We were explicitly told by Mr. McDuffie that XLR8 was faster, so why didn't Ben use him instead of Fasttrack? There are also stronger aliens than him, so again, why default to Fasttrack?
Plus, Omniverse gave us very unique transformations with powers we've never seen used before in Ben 10: Elasticity/ Shapeshifting (Bloxx), Gravity control (Gravattack), Hypersonic jumps (Crashhopper), Sticky Plasma balls (Ball Weevil), Fear (Toepick), Internalized Star Power (Astrodactyl), Dream entering (Pesky Dust), Atomic fusion (Atomix), Chemical gas creation (Gutrot). Plus the Predators are all unique on their own.
Argh. 2nd Season of UA. Dark time in the Ben 10 franchise.
Quite frankly, they've been doing duplicates of alien powers all the time. My biggest thing is the aliens that their only ability is really super strength. The only real differences between Four Arms and Rath, in my opinion, is Rath's personality. Otherwise, they are both standard strength aliens. If they actually developed Fasttrack's character instead of just his abilities, then he probably would be better recieved.
Good point, and you are right about the super strength situation. You also make a strong point concerning Fasttrack, as he should have had a different personality to make him distinguishable from XLR8.
Fasttrack is awesome. However, if they are to bring him back, they need to give him new abilities. Anything, really. Also, it is never said that XLR8 is faster than Fasttrack. It is only stated that Fastrack is stronger. Some people actually believe Fasttrack is stronger because he has trouble stopping, which could have to do with him going at a faster speed than XLR8. It is a logical idea actually. You are all bigoted against Fasttrack because XLR8 became dear in your hearts, so you've told yourselves Fasttrack is just a knock-off. He's XLR8, only better! Why can't you all see that? Look at him for what he can do, not who he is like!
I think I saw before that XLR8 is a bit faster, when arguing Fasttrack's strength. Apparently, Fasttrack's speed doesn't drop while carrying others due to having more strength than XLR8, and XLR8 slows down while carrying heavier people. The point is, while carrying people, their speed is the supposedly the same.
I think Fasttrack works better when it comes to fighting, especially since he has hands. And for some reason, I think Fasttrack's fighting style fits Ben's style more, as he prefers the strength aliens.
