Thornblade is the Antitrix's hybridization of a mutated Florauna and an unknown species' DNA and Kevin's equivalent to Wildvine.

Appearance

Thornblade's physical appearance is similar to Wildvine, however he is much taller and muscular with bulgy arms and legs. His limbs are orange, brownish green, yellow, and olive green while his back sports spiked olive green tentacles. His yellow head covers his black face which echoes a helmet, and his eye is a solid red orb with no pupils. Around the neck is a yellow and orange leaf. His shoulders are brownish and light green in color, as well as a brownish green back and torso.

Thornblade wears the Antitrix symbol on his chest.

Being part-Florauna, Thornblade shares many of the same abilities as Wildvine. Thornblade can grow and retract his body and can also grow vines to trap others, which appear to be his fingers coming off. He is able to grow vines on his back that they can be used as extra limbs to support his body.

Thornblade possesses enhanced strength, being capable of lifting two Ekoplektoids with his back vines.

Thornblade can grow a layer of vines around his arms, which can enhance the strength of his punches.

Thornblade is able to regenerate his body if it is damaged.

Thornblade is capable of breaking down his body and reforming to appear at another location as well as seemingly merging with Earth's bushes, akin to teleportation.

Due to Kevin's modifications to the Antitrix, Thornblade has more lethal thorny vines in place of seed pods that a normal Florauna has, making him a lot stronger than Wildvine.

Weaknesses

Being part-Florauna, Thornblade shares many of the same weaknesses as Wildvine. For example, Thornblade's vines may also become tangled.

History

Ben 10

• Thornblade first appeared in King of the Castle, where he captured Ben in a maze only to get defeated by Four Arms, so he switched into Undertow.
• In Xingo Nation, Thornblade fought against Slapback before later teaming up with the latter to defeat Xingo.
• In I Don't Like You, Thornblade starred in his own video, which surpassed more views than Four Arms and Gwen's video.
• In Roundabout: Part 2, Thornblade initially battled Gwen before turning on Charmcaster for trying to harm Gwen.
• In Ben 10 Versus the Universe: The Movie, Thornblade briefly appeared due to a glitch with the Antitrix.

Thornblade derives from thorn (which he has multiple of on his back) and blade (alluding to how sharp they are).

• Thornblade's body design shares characteristics with Swampfire's blossomed body from Omniverse while his color scheme is similar to the Wild Florauna from Secret of the Omnitrix.
