Thomas N. Perkins IV was a full-time designer for Ben 10. He was brought on at the end of Season 1[TNP 1] by Dave Johnson as a replacement for his assistant character designer beginning on Season 2.[DJ 1][TNP 2] He became Character Design Supervisor for Seasons 3 and 4 after Johnson left.[TNP 3] He has worked on later shows, such as Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Omniverse, as a freelance artist for hire.[TNP 4] He also has a minor villain named after him, who appeared in the Original Series.

- Thomas had thought up a number of story ideas during his time as character designer, such as a successor for Ben[TNP 47] and an idea on how to wrap up the whole series.[TNP 48]
- The idea of a successor to Ben was later conceived in the form of Ken Tennyson, albeit independent of his own ruminations.[TNP 49]
- In 2020, he created designs of Sandbox, Shellhead, and Snakepit based on how he might have drawn them during the run of the Original Series.
