The Harrangue Show, is an American news station hosted by anchorman Will Harangue, known for its smear campaign against Ben Tennyson.

History[]

Omniverse[]

At some point prior to The Frogs of War: Part 1, Harangue Nation got cancelled and Will Harangue moved to The Harrangue Show.

The Harrangue Show first appeared in The Frogs of War: Part 1, with a news report on the public exposing of Undertown and the invasion of the Incursean Empire. Due to Harangue's support of the invaders, the show's viewership and rating subsequently went down.[DJW 1]

In Return to Forever, Harangue was permanently[DJW 2] mutated with alien DNA by Ben Tennyson. Contrary to his opinion of his new appearance, his ratings went up again after his alien transformation.[DJW 3]

In The Vengers, Will reported about the Vengers' exploits, making his ratings rise even higher. In reality, however, they also doubled as a city-wide smear campaign against Ben in order to boost the credibility of the Vengers, with himself being an unofficial secret partner. After the people realized the Vengers' true colors, Harangue betrayed them immediately in an attempt to maintain his high ratings by attempting to smear both Ben and Billy's team in a semi-vain effort to save face.

Omniverse Future[]

In The End of an Era, a revamped version of the Harrangue Show reported on Max Tennyson's retirement. Though J. Jonah Jones has taken over as reporter, Will Harangue remains as the cameraman.

Trivia[]

  • Much like its predecessor, the way The Harrangue Show slanders Ben by Harangue branding him a "menace" takes inspiration from the Daily Bugle from Marvel Comics, which J. Jonah Jameson do the same thing with Spider-Man.
