The Adventure Begins... (La aventura comienza... in Spanish) is a Ben 10 comic published included in issue 76 of the Boing magazine in Spain.
Plot[]
Somewhere in the exosphere, a mysterious meteorite is heading toward Earth. While, shortly after starting their summer vacation, Ben and Gwen find themselves playing in the Rustbucket though, Ben quickly gets bored. Grandpa Max tells the kids that they've finally arrived at camp, so they all get out of the vehicle. Grandpa Max asks Gwen to help him set up the tents and for Ben to go get some firewood, which he grumpily accepts.
Along the way, Ben encounters something falling from the sky, and identifies it as a shooting star. He heads over to where he landed and finds the Omnitrix inside a capsule, so Ben wonders what a clock was doing in space. As he approaches, the Omnitrix jumps onto Ben's wrist and attaches itself to him. In an attempt to remove the Omnitrix, Ben accidentally activates it, turning into Heatblast. Ben freaks out when he sees that he is burning, but relaxes when he notices that he doesn't feel any pain.
When Gwen goes to find her cousin, she encounters Heatblast and is frightened, so Ben (turned into Heatblast), calms her down and explains what happened to her. Suddenly, a giant robot approaches where they were but is defeated by Heatblast. After this, Ben returns to his human form. After some time, it is seen that Ben as XLR8 finished making camp, causing Max to find out what happened.

- This version of how Ben got the Omnitrix is different from the one seen in Ben Again and Again and Ben 10 Origin Story.
- In this version, the Omnitrix falls from space during the day, in the canon, the Omnitrix crashes at night.
- Instead of Ben being attacked by Vilgax's drones, he is attacked by a giant robot.
- The first alien in the comic is Heatblast, but in the canon version, it is Four Arms.[DR 1]
- This version most closely resembles the one seen in Up to Speed, with the Omnitrix crashing to Earth in the day, Ben turning into Heatblast for the first time, and facing off against a giant robot.
