Terraspin is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Geochelone Aerios[2][3][note 1] from the planet Aldabra[4][5] in the Andromeda Galaxy.
Appearance[]
Terraspin is a green turtle-like alien with large flipper-like arms, green eyes, and stumpy legs. The tips of his arms also have three holes each, which can extend finger-like claws to use as fingers.
In Ultimate Alien, Terraspin had eight holes in his shell and a circular body shape.
In Omniverse, Terraspin looks mostly the same, except he now has six holes in his shell, brown spots on his upper legs, toes, and shoulders, and a hexagonal and slightly larger body shape. The black stripes under his eyes are thicker, his legs are shorter, and his feet have each gained three toes.
Terraspin wears the Ultimatrix/Omnitrix symbol on his chest.
Powers and Abilities[]
From the vents on his front shell, Terraspin can expel powerful gusts of wind to push opponents away.[6] He can also form his limbs into rotating fans to amplify this; where his fins become triangular and sharp,[7] and his legs combine and morph into a similar shape. In combination, Terraspin's three fans can whirl incredibly fast, while his shell stays static and suspended in the air, and generate hurricane-force winds[5] or destructive, mini corckscrew cyclones.[8][9][AP 1] Terraspin also possesses aerokinesis,[DVD 2] allowing him to influence the direction of wind in the air,[5] and generate tornadoes without spinning, as demonstrated by Ultimate Kevin.[10]
Terraspin's wind blasts are powerful enough to put out fires[11] and redirect objects.[12][DM 1] Terraspin can also harness his aerokinetic powers to fly, blowing air to hover over a surface and using his rotating limbs as propellers.[DVD 2]
Terraspin can also spin in reverse, creating strong vacuums.[13] Terraspin can utilize this to absorb lethal toxins out of the nearby air.[14]
Terraspin possesses enhanced strength, as he was able to hold a giant robot with his bare hands while spinning[15] and charge into a building by busting down a door.[16]
Terraspin possesses enhanced durability, as his thick, impermeable shell protects him from most assaults.[AP 1][5][7]
Terraspin is immune to poisonous gas.[14] He is also resistant to mana, as demonstrated by Ultimate Aggregor.[17]
Terraspin can extend the black holes at the tips of his flippers into finger-like claws, as demonstrated by Galapagus.[5] Terraspin can also fully retract his head and limbs into his shell.[9]
Terraspin is capable of using magic,[DM 2] as demonstrated by Addwaitya.[18] [19] However, Ben cannot stay transformed as Terraspin long enough to learn it without Master Control.[DJW 1]
Weaknesses[]
Unless he is flying, Terraspin's body is cumbersome and not very agile, as Attea claims if he wanted to run, Ben picked the wrong species to turn into.[20]
When Terraspin is spinning around, the air vents on his chest are vulnerable to being jammed with large foreign objects. This causes him immense discomfort and forces him to stop spinning and remove the object.[13]
Terraspin is not fully immune to mana attacks, as demonstrated by Galapagus.[5][6]
As demonstrated with Addwaitya, Terraspin is vulnerable to electricity, such as that generated by an Amperi.[18]
Terraspin can be immobilized by ice.[5]

Trivia[]
- Whenever Terraspin talks in Omniverse, a fan sound is played in the background.
- Terraspin and the other Andromeda aliens have their powers related to a certain element; for Terraspin, it is wind.

- Terraspin went through many name changes during development, but the early names were all shut down by the writer's legal team.[PAD 1]
- Eventually, however, Terraspin was named by Kathleen David, the wife of writer Peter David.[PAD 1]
- Terraspin was designed by Steven Choi or Chap Yaep.[DJW 2]
- Ben 23 has an alternate counterpart of Terraspin.[DJW 3]
- When designing a version of Shellhead in 2020, Thomas Perkins felt like doing something different for Shellhead, believing that the franchise did not need another turtle-based alien like Terraspin.[TP 1][TP 2]
Notes[]
- ↑ The page for Terraspin's species was originally created under the title "Geochelone Aerios" on August 25, 2010, which was the name featured in Terraspin's Alien Data File as both the singular and plural forms of the species.[AP 1] The page was renamed to "Geochelone Aerio" a day later on August 26, 2010 by Linkmadara, with the name being used as the species' singular form on the wiki until February 16, 2024, when it was discovered that "Geochelone Aerios" was used for both the singular and plural forms of the species as evidenced by the Data File and the closed captions for Of Predators and Prey: Part 2.[captions 1][CN 1] In that time, Terraspin's species was listed as "Geochelone Areio", a misspelling of "Geochelone Aerio", in the Alien Database on the Ben 10 Omniverse: Aliens at War DVD.[DVD 1][BTP 1]
