Taydenite is the rarest and most precious living gem in the Milky Way Galaxy.[1][2] It is also practically indestructible[DM 1] and used as currency commonly throughout the galaxy in the form of rectangular coins called "Taydens".
History[]
Alien Force[]
Taydenite first appeared in the episode Kevin's Big Score. Vulkanus decided to get back at Kevin for a previous betrayal by forcing Kevin to recursively absorb a small piece of Taydenite, turning him into a living human gem with crystalline spikes which Vulkanus' minions continued to mine, giving Vulkanus an endless supply. However, Vulkanus' plan was foiled by Ben as Big Chill and Gwen, who arrived to save Kevin.
In Con of Rath, the group needed some Taydenite to power their ship. They encountered Vulkanus in Sylex VII and his minions, fighting them for the Taydenite. Ben (as Rath) unleashed a shockwave that ruined most of Vulkanus' supply.
Ultimate Alien[]
In Too Hot to Handle, Kevin was in possession of a large Taydenite crystal, which he used to accidentally free P'Andor from his containment suit.
Omniverse[]
In OTTO Motives, Gar Red Wind rewarded Kevin for helping to save his collection of rare and valuable cars by giving him a car made of Taydenite.
Taydenite was also seen multiple times throughout Omniverse being used by Ben, Rook, Mr. Baumann and others as currency (in the form of "Taydens").

- Taydenite is the only material known to be capable of penetrating Infinitum[3] and the metal of a Prypiatosian-B containment suit.[4]
- Taydenite is the power source for a Tachyon 930 starship.[5]
- Despite them looking identical, Petrosapiens are not made of Taydenite[DM 1] and Taydenite does not come from Petropia.[DM 2] Furthermore, Petrosapien crystals have no real value.[DJW 1]
