Sonorosians[1][2] are humanoid creatures made from silicon,[3][4] from the planet Sonorosia.[Bandai 1]
Appearance[]
Sonorosians are white humanoids made of silicon.[3][4] Though they resemble robots, their bodies are natural.[note 1] The green, circle-shaped indents on the backs of the hands of Sonorosians are sound holes, which help them resonate.[MW 1] They also wear headphones so they would not be hurt by their own sonic screams.[DM 2]
Sonorosians speak with voices resembling a vocoder synthesizer.
Powers and Abilities[]
Sonorosians can scream at audible to ultrasonic frequencies capable of shattering steel,[AF Mini Bible 1] redirecting projectiles in mid-flight,[5] blowing up destroying multiple Laser Lances at once, and even damaging Taydenite at the right frequency.[DJW 5] Sonorosians can transmit sound waves through speakers, such as cellphones which can be used as a weapon for the person on the other line.[6] Sonorosians also have the power of audiokinesis, meaning they can control and manipulate sound. Sonorosians can use this power to amplify other sounds.[annual 1]
Sonorosians have the ability to create an unknown number of exact duplicates of themselves just like Splixsons.[AF Mini Bible 1] These clones act so harmoniously that they can finish each other's sentences. Even if entire groups of their clones are destroyed, a Sonorosian can survive as long as at least one of them is still intact.[7] Using their self-duplication, Sonorosians can create copies of any object they are holding while making clones.[2][GT 1][note 2]
Sonorosians can use their sonic screams to create force fields, as well as sonic waves.[8]
Sonorosians can levitate in the air.[9][10]
Sonorosians seem to have more strength than their size suggests due to their bodies generating a vibrating field,[Bandai 2] as Echo Echo was able to carry a power coupling completely on his own,[11] and kick off the trunk door from the Mark 10 with one foot.[7]
With the help of multiple clones, Sonorosians can throw a Plumber Ship about a meter,[12] carry a Murk Gourmand,[13] and hold their own against larger opponents such as the mechanical dragon,[14] a Highbreed,[15] and Ultimate Kevin.[7]
Sonorosians also appear to be rather durable, as Echo Echo and his clones were able to withstand being thrown against a wall.[14]
Due to their bodies generating a vibrating field,[Bandai 2] Sonorosians are quite agile, as they are capable of jumping exceptionally high.[14][5]
Sonorosians can channel vibrations to enhance their screams, as seen when Echo Echo touched Kevin, who had absorbed Varcidium that caused him to vibrate when struck by Gwen's manna.[16]
Using their sonic screams, Sonorosians can locate objects and people, giving them the ability of echolocation.[15]
Weaknesses[]
There is a limit to the number of duplicates Sonorosians can make, which depends on the amount of energy they have access to.[DM 1]
Sonorosians are vulnerable to fire, such as that generated by a Methanosian, an Aerophibian's neuroshock blasts, and electricity generated by a Cerebrocrustacean.[7]
Sonorosians can be rendered unconscious if hit by a quill from a member of Argit's species.[5]
Sonorosians can be controlled by a Vladat via their Corrupturas.[DJW 7]
Sonorosians can be affected by the cold virus.[17]

"Sonorosian" is a play on "sonar", and its associated "sonorous".
Trivia[]
- Duncan Rouleau once stated that Blitzwolfer's sonic howls are more powerful than Echo Echo's sonic screams,[DR 1] and by extension, a Loboan's sonic howls are more powerful than a Sonorosian's sonic screams. He later did not recall making the original statement, elaborating that the answer to the question depends on what the story needs.[DR 2]
- When asked if Echo Echo could levitate, Derrick J. Wyatt considered it a mistake with his powers.[DJW 8]

- ↑ A fan once asked Dwayne McDuffie if Echo Echo was either a robot or some kind of living containment suit, and then shared a theory that Echo Echo's being is actually living sound waves for a containment suit to hold; Dwayne responded by saying "Echo [Echo] is a member of a race that just looks like that".[DM 1] Coincidentally, Derrick J. Wyatt later stated that Echo Echo was in fact a containment suit housing living sound waves while answering fan questions,[DJW 1][DJW 2] while specifying that he did not come up with the concept, only heard of it.[DJW 3] and that it came from Dwayne McDuffie.[DJW 4] Due to the apparent contradiction, Echo Echo and all Sonorosians are not considered to have a containment suit.[BTP 1]
- ↑ According to Derrick J. Wyatt, Echo Echo's object duplication was due to a glitch in the original Ultimatrix. This ability was removed from Echo Echo's DNA when Ben acquired the new Omnitrix in The Ultimate Enemy: Part 2.[DJW 6] However, it is unknown if this is canon as Matt Wayne seemed to be unaware of the existence of glitch powers.[MW 2]
