Sightra is the home planet of Opticoids.[note 1]
Landscape[]
Sightra is a highly unusual planet due to the consistency of its surface, which resembles gelatin more so than rock. The planet itself provides its own natural defense against any would-be invaders unfamiliar with its unique makeup. As an off-worlder takes their first steps, they are sucked into Sightra's gelatinous surface with a giant "Slurp!", never to be heard from again.[OV Brief 1]
Society[]
All of the creatures on Sightra have had to evolve around the planet's bizzare gelatinous makeup. As a result, most of them have no skeleton, and tend to resemble alien jellyfish by way of hard-boiled eggs. The only indigenous beings that have a more rigid structure are the Opticoids, who have skeletons of stiff cartilage to hold themselves together.[OV Brief 1]
Known Inhabitants[]
- Opticoids
- Various Invertebrate Species
Etymology[]
The name "Sightra" is a play on "sight", which refers to the Opticoids' many eyes.
Notes[]
- ↑ On July 4, 2009, Eye Guy's page was edited by anonymous user, claiming that he was an Opticoid from the planet Sightra. The page for Opticoids was later created on September 14, 2009 by another anonymous user, and this page was created on October 19, 2009 by a user named The Ultimate Necrofriggian. No source for Opticoid or Sightra was provided in any of these instances, and they were not mentioned in any official media or merchandise. However, in FusionFall, released in 2009, Eye Guy was mentioned as being a Scleran.[FusionFall 1] The master brief for Omniverse would later call Eye Guy an Opticoid from the planet Sightra,[OV Brief 1] thus canonizing them as his species and planet, respectively.[BTP 1]
