The Quetzalcoatl is a chicken that was infused with boa constrictor DNA by Dr. Animo that first appeared in Chicken In Chichen Itza, Part 1: Pyramid Scheme.
Appearance[]
The Quetzalcoatl is a hybrid between a chicken and a Yucatán-native boa constrictor,[1][2] with primarily green feathers on its body, with red and yellow feathers making up its wings. It has a long serpent tail with a yellow underbelly, and orange feathers sprouting from the end of it. It is unusually large in size, considering its genetic components.
History[]
Ben 10[]
The Quetzalcoatl first appeared in Chicken In Chichen Itza, Part 1: Pyramid Scheme, where it terrorized Chichen Itza after being mutated by Dr. Animo using boa constrictor DNA. Being mistaken for the deity of the same name, Gwen urged Ben to not hurt it. However, Max and Mary Jo Fourfeathers determined that it was not actually the Quetzalcoatl, and instead a mind-controlled mutant. Although Ben as Omni-Kix Shock Rock was able to trap it, he soon timed out, allowing for Dr. Animo to reclaim his experiment. Taking Mary Jo with them, the Quetzalcoatl and Animo retreated. Team Tennyson followed them, and although Jetray saved Mary Jo, he was outmatched by Animo and the Quetzalcoatl. After spotting the Quetzalcoatl flying towards the pyramids, Max flew the Omni-Copter into the Quetzalcoatl, destroying the vehicle. Regardless, the Quetzalcoatl was able to stay airborne, and fought Jetray before eventually colliding with Dr. Animo. After he was arrested, the Quetzalcoatl allowed Jetray to remove its mind-control collar.
In Chicken In Chichen Itza, Part 2: The Wages of Fear, Mary Jo allowed Team Tennyson to join her and the ranger while they delivered the Quetzalcoatl to the nature preserve. It was placed in a super-cold truck so it could hibernate on the way there. Elsewhere, LaGrange watched the efforts on TV, and after an angry reminder that his rent was due, decided to chase after the Quetzalcoatl in hopes of selling it. Soon, LaGrange caught up to the truck, and attempted to steal the Quetzalcoatl. He eventually took over control of the truck, and Ben as Omni-Kix Cannonbolt broke the Quetzalcoatl free. It saved the ranger and Mary Jo before LaGrange plummeted off of a bridge in the truck. At the nature preserve, the Quetzalcoatl severely dented the roof of the Rustbucket before flying into the jungle.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Quetzalcoatl possesses enhanced strength, being able to easily defeat Four Arms. It is durable enough to withstand being hit by the Omni-Copter.[1] It is also capable of flight, and has prehensile feet.[3]
Weaknesses[]
The Quetzalcoatl can be easily tamed using snacks.[1]
