Magister Pyke is a Piscciss Volann Plumber and the Magister of Piscciss.
Appearance[]
Pyke looks exactly like Ripjaws except having shorter whiskers, pink eyes, and a Plumber Suit.
Personality[]
Like Prior Gahlil, Pyke is a veteran Plumber, and has little time for younger Plumbers that receive special preferential treatment, or as he calls them, "tadpoles" (in reference to Ben and the others).
Pyke is a highly skilled combatant underwater, demonstrating zero-gravity martial artistry using his claws and tail on a level that left even Ben in awe, despite the level of skill he had shown as Ripjaws.
History[]
Background[]
Not much is known about Pyke's background, but he met Patelliday at least once while the latter was a deputy back on Piscciss.[DJW 1]
Ultimate Alien[]
Pyke first appears in the episode "Deep", where he is seen tracking an unidentified fast-moving object, which later turns out to be Aggregor. He informs a Central Command Plumber that it's not a submarine—something he suspects the officer already knows. When told the information is classified, Pyke sarcastically replies, "Typical Plumber bureaucracy." He initially assumes the object is some kind of animal, but is soon thrown back by a massive whirlpool created by Aggregor using Galapagus’ powers.
Later, Pyke reports the Aggregor sighting to Ben, though he's reluctant to accept help from the "tadpoles swimming in his ocean." When Gwen’s distress signal is activated, Pyke responds and helps defeat several squid-like creatures using a sonic weapon—coincidentally, the same weapon seen in the episode "Truth."
After another seaquake, Pyke notes that such tremors are becoming more frequent. Though he doesn't see them as a major threat, he admits they scare the locals, including the Piscciss Volann Stingrays—creatures that resemble a mix between rays and eels, capable of firing and regenerating high-speed spines like darts.
Pyke helps Ben’s team defeat the creatures, surprising Ben with his combat skills. During the fight, Ben’s helmet breaks, and he scares off the sea creatures by transforming into Humungousaur and roaring. However, Humungousaur sinks under the pressure, forcing Ben to switch to AmpFibian. Despite Ben's efforts, Pyke remains skeptical of him.
A powerful quake unleashes a wave of debris, and Pyke is trapped beneath a large fallen rock. Gwen, unable to see him while shielding the others, stays behind to rescue him, while Ben and Kevin move on.
They eventually find Aggregor, now in possession of the gravity device. With no clear escape, Aggregor flees through a newly formed opening in the ceiling. Ben pursues him as Big Chill, but is mistakenly identified as a thief after Pyke’s breathing device is broken by a Gibble, and the gravity device goes missing. Pyke sounds an alarm, suspecting Ben, Gwen, and Kevin are the culprits.
The guards chase Ben. As Ultimate Big Chill, Ben fails to stop Aggregor, but later as Goop, he’s able to restore the planet’s gravity. Though it appears Goop has been atomized in the process, it's revealed he not only survived but also managed to reassemble the planet. Thanks to Ben and his team, the planet is saved and restored—98% water and 2% land.
Powers and Abilities[]
Pyke possesses extraordinary skills in martial artistry and agile swimming, along with his natural underwater breathing abilities, enhanced strength, sharp claws and teeth, and legs that can shift into a single fish tail and back.
Weaknesses[]
Same as any Piscciss Volann, he can not breathe oxygen air for extended periods without any water.

- Deep (first appearance)
Etymology[]
Pyke is named after a pike, which is a type of predatory fish.
Trivia[]
- After his helmet was broken, Pyke started to suffocate without water. But when Ben turned into Goop to save Piscciss with his Anti-Gravity Projector, Pyke stood up and was breathing somewhat normally. This is because he can breathe in air for a while, but it takes some time for him to get used to it.
- Pyke does not like kids or non-professionals.[DM 1]
- Pyke was designed by Glenn Wong.[TJ 1]
