Purple Lightning[pop-up 2][2] is a phenomenon created by Dr. Viktor[pop-up 1][1] by using Corrodium teleportation energy from the Anur System.[pop-up 3][3][pop-up 2][2]

Purple Lightning storms can cause rainfall.[3]

Purple Lightning can be used to teleport individuals, such as the Werewolf and the Mummy, to any location.[2] If the lightning strikes a Galvanic Mechamorph possessing technology, it is possible for the Mechamorph and any individual nearby to transported within the tech they're ensnaring.[1]

Purple Lightning can cause technology, such as the Omnitrix, to malfunction due to the teleportation feedback it creates.[pop-up 4][3]

Purple Lightning was first seen in Benwolf, where it caused the Werewolf to be suddenly show up at the Navajo Nation reservation after striking the area.

The phenomenon reappeared in Game Over, where it caused Ben and Gwen to be transported into Sumo Slammer Smackdown.[pop-up 1][1]

Purple Lightning was seen again in Under Wraps, where it teleported the Mummy to Dairyville.

In Monster Weather, the lightning struck S.A.M. and caused it to malfunction severely.

Purple Lightning made its final appearance in The Return, where the Werewolf and Mummy used it to escape out of the Digby Dairy factory. It was seen later, where it was revealed Dr. Viktor was utilizing a machine that harnessed the phenomenon to create portals to transport the Werewolf and Mummy across the globe.
