Protosts are a gelatinous alien species from the moon Myceto.[pop-up 1][1]
Appearance[]
Protosts are pink blob-like aliens with a pair of antennae on their head and three yellow pupil-less eyes with black stripes running down the back and sides.
Only male Protosts have been seen, so it is unknown what female Protosts look like.
Diet[]
Protosts have their own equivalent of Human coffee: an opaque white liquid with small alien fish swimming around.[pop-up 2][1]
Technology[]
The Protosts are responsible for making the Null Void Containment Eggs that Ben 10,000 would use in the future.[pop-up 3][2]
Powers and Abilities[]
Protosts bodies made of liquid slime, which they can control and shapeshift at will. They can morph and take on the shape of a blob for faster movement; stretch or elongate parts of their body; and slip through small spaces. They can even spawn tentacles to grab or interact with things.[1]
Protosts can envelop people or objects in their slime to shield them from outside attacks, or to shield the outside from dangerous objects, as Gluto did to protect Gwen.[1]
Protosts have exceptional healing capabilities, and are able to regenerate completely from any subdivision of themselves, no matter how small, as long as that piece of them doesn't evaporate first.[pop-up 4] Its only flaw is that they seem to take a while to completely regenerate their entire bodies.[1]
Protosts are very strong, as Gluto was able to wrestle with Vilgax, pick up and toss his bioids with one tentacle, and rip them in half.[1]
Protosts' gel-like bodies makes them invulnerable to most physical attacks.[pop-up 5][1]
Protosts are very quick and agile when they move as one blob, easily able to overwhelm opponents and dodge their attacks.[1]
Weaknesses[]
Protosts are weak to energy attacks.[pop-up 6][1]
Notable Protosts[]
Etymology[]
The name Protost is a play on protists, which is any eukaryotic organism (that is, an organism whose cells contain a cell nucleus) that is not an animal, plant, or fungus.
Trivia[]
- Despite having a body made of uniform material, Protosts can still both blush and sweat, as demonstrated by Gluto.[1]
- A Protosts' multiple limbs allow them to control and pilot vehicles that few other species can.[pop-up 7][1]
