Magister Prior Gahlil[note 1] was a Plumber who attained the rank of Magister. He was Max Tennyson's boss,[DM 2] and had over 300 planets under his watch.[2]
Appearance[]
Gahlil was a green skinned humanoid with yellow eyes and standard Plumber Suit.
Personality[]
Gahlil has a very strict, no-nonsense, by-the-book personality, always following the rules set by the Plumbers closely.
Gahlil was ready to throw Ben Tennyson, Gwen Tennyson and Kevin Levin into the Null Void forever for Plumber impersonation, and he only spared them from the Null Void because they, as Gwen pointed out, didn't claim to be Plumbers, but simply protected people from alien attacks (and especially in Ben's case, since his Omnitrix already gives him a sort of Plumber license). However, he forces Kevin to stop fighting with aliens, regardless of self-defense or the defense of others, due to his criminal files.
Gahlil was quick to side with a Highbreed's claim of being attacked over Ben and his team, simply because the trio was on thin ice with him already. It is possible that Gahlil holds grudges due to his lack of sympathy when seeing Ben get in trouble a second time, but he managed to keep his head cool enough to ask the Highbreed to come with him for questioning. The Magister later shows a softer side when he allows the trio to keep their Plumber badges after realizing that Darkstar was behind the whole incident.
Unfortunately, Gahlil's dedication to the law would ultimately lead to his death at the hands of Aggregor.

Alien Force[]
In Darkstar Rising, Magister Prior Gahlil was informed that three human adolescents, Ben Tennyson, Gwen Tennyson and Kevin Levin, were pretending to be Plumbers, and set a trap for them using some Forever Knight holograms. When the Magister tried to arrest them, Kevin fought him and was overpowered, but Ben used Goop to defeat Gahlil so they could talk.
Ben and Gwen mentioned that they are the grandchildren of the Plumber Max Tennyson, but the Magister points out that Kevin doesn't have any Plumber ancestry, much to Kevin's annoyance, as his biological father was one. Gahlil allowed them to continue their alien investigations and asked for Kevin's Plumber badge, as he had stolen it from Labrid. Gahlil warned him that if he doesn't give him the badge, he would be thrown in the Null Void again. As a result, Kevin reluctantly complied, which made him upset.
Gahlil arrests Darkstar
Later, after the trio defeated a Highbreed, Gahlil put them under arrest for impersonating Plumbers again, but they were soon attacked by a masked figure who tried to absorb all their powers and captured them, while Gwen managed to escape.
The masked figure took all of them, including the Highbreed, to his hideout where he revealed to them who he was. The enemy showed himself to be Michael Morningstar who now called himself Darkstar after the team first defeated him in All That Glitters, and began to absorb Ben's, Kevin's, Gahlil's and the Highbreed's energy. Luckily, Gwen showed up with an army of DNAliens who distracted Darkstar long enough for Kevin to free himself and the others, including Gahlil, who thanked him. They all proceeded to fight Darkstar and defeated him. Afterwards, Gahlil gave Kevin his badge back, and placed the team in-charge of protecting Earth, before teleporting to the Null Void with Darkstar.

Magister Gahlil's death
In Escape From Aggregor, Magister Gahlil answered a distress call from Aggregor's starship and boarded it. He then met Aggregor who told the Magister that it was a computer error. After demanding a search of the ship, Gahlil soon located Aggregor's prisoners, five aliens from the Andromeda Galaxy. When Gahlil announced Aggregor's code violation and began listing his crimes, the Osmosian appeared and attacked Gahlil from behind by blasting him with the Shock Staff, killing the Magister. Aggregor appeared later wearing his Plumber suit and piloting his ship.[DM 3]

Gahlil is quite strong as he was able to lift and throw Kevin. He is also durable enough to withstand punches from a metal-coated Kevin.
Equipment[]
Gahlil owned a Plumber Ray Gun and a Plumber Badge. He wore a Plumber Suit that had a teleporter built into it.
