The Omnitrix Containment Device is a machine that was used to detach the Omnitrix from Ben's wrist in Back With a Vengeance.
Appearance[]
The Omnitrix Containment Device has a long grey cylindrical body, with four sharp prongs and a retractable cylindrical tube one one end, for extracting the Omnitrix; and a transparent glass dome on the other side, for storing and viewing the Omnitrix. On the sides of the body, near the dome, are two handlebars for gripping the machine.
The device releases its stored contents into a small, orb-like container. It is grey with blue markings, which glow when opening up.

Function[]
When extracting the Omnitrix, the device first releases a containment field that neutralizes the Omnitrix's energy feedback defense mechanism.[1][2]
The prongs are used for burrowing into the ground, to stop the device from being blown backward by the energy feedback. Once the center is aligned with the Omnitrix's faceplate, a smaller tube will shoot out and secure itself to it, then pull the Omnitrix up with great force. Once ripped off, the tube sends the Omnitrix up though the body and into the area of the viewing dome. An orb container will close internally around the Omnitrix, after which the viewing dome will split apart and allow the container to be removed.

Once joining forces with Kevin, and after analyzing his body and discovering that his DNA has merged with the Omnitrix, like Ben's has, Vilgax gives Kevin the Omnitrix Containment Device, and the task of being the one to remove the Omnitrix from Ben. Kevin wears it strapped to his back for the duration of his fight with Ben, extending into the Null Void.
When Kevin kidnaps Gwen, and he and Vilgax corner Ben, Ben finally allows them to take the Omnitrix, on the condition that they release her. Kevin knocks Ben to the ground, holds him down with his foot, and furiously plunges the Omnitrix Containment Device into the ground, above Ben's arm. The Omnitrix's feedback manages to push Kevin and the device back, but he persists, and the Omnitrix is painfully ripped off Ben's wrist.
Once the Omnitrix is transferred to an orb container, Kevin throws the main device away. He then fights with Vilgax over who should have it, allowing Gwen and Ben to steal it. He and Vilgax come between them and their exit portal, forcing them to give up the orb. While Ben tells her to give it up, she sneakily tucks it behind her back and throws a similar-looking bomb as a decoy; and Vilgax and Kevin only realise it until it was too late, after the Tennysons escape with the orb. Gwen gives the orb back to Ben and it opens before him, re-gifting him the Omnitrix.[2]

Trivia[]
- The Galvanian Skeuomorph bears some resemblance to the Omnitrix Containment Device, as both devices have sharp metal prongs on one end and a clear glass dome on the other.
- The markings on the Orb container are very similar to the Charm of Reincarnation.
