Never A Dull Moment is the eighteenth Ben 10: Ultimate Alien comic published in the Cartoon Network Action Pack series, published by DC and Cartoon Network. This comic appears in issue 63 of the series.
Plot[]
On one of their "days off" Ben, Gwen, and Kevin have been invited to a barbecue by a civilian of Bellwood, grateful to Ben and the gang for saving his city so often. Though before Ben can enjoy his second helping of ribs, a half dozen witch-minions appear, attacking the BBQ and terrorizing the guests.
Turning into Water Hazard, Ben fights back alongside Gwen and Kevin, but they're all unable to stop the witches from abducting the barbecue-er's two young daughters, "Elisa" and "Eliana".
The trio make their move of rescuing the kids and follow the witches back to their warehouse hideout. Sneaking in as Big Chill, Ben finds out Charmcaster is in charge of these witch-slaves, intending them to capture Gwen and Julie Yamamoto, the two closest to Ben. Disappointed in the retrieval of the children, Charmcaster threatens the witches with death, but to her surprise they rebel against her! Stepping in, Gwen battles the villainess, while Ben takes care of the witches, all the while Kevin brings the two girls to safety, before rejoining the fight.
Ben defeats the minions by turning into Echo Echo, and Gwen -without needing an assist by an eager Kevin- is able to herself defeat Charmcaster, knocking her down, but not stopping her before she teleports away.
As the three reunite the girls with their father, Ben takes his earned reward of finishing the ribs, while Kevin and Gwen ponder the exhausting life of an always on-duty hero. From the distance Charmcaster swears her revenge.
