The Nemetrix is a knock-off version of the original Omnitrix that was created by Dr. Psychobos. Khyber used it frequently with Zed and then his Panuncian to turn them into predatory species of the Omnitrix aliens.

Appearance

The Nemetrix is shaped like a hexagon. It is colored red and silver. The symbol looks like an open mouth with sharp teeth. It is used like a collar rather than a wristwatch (respectively given how dangerous its use is to sapient creatures such as humans).

• The Nemetrix has the ability to transform the user into non-sapient beings.
• Previously, the user transformed with the instructions given by Khyber via his whistles. Later, Dr. Psychobos fitted the Nemetrix with a stabilizer core stolen from the Omnitrix, allowing the user to transform on their own.
• The Nemetrix has the ability to evolve aliens into their Ultimate Forms, granting them new powers and new abilities that are more powerful. This feature was added by Albedo during his partnership with Khyber.
• Similar to the original Omnitrix before recalibration, the Nemetrix can display silhouettes of its aliens.
• Similar to the current Omnitrix, it can store DNA within itself.
• Similar to the Omnitrix, the Nemetrix has a timeout function and a Recharge Mode.

Extensions

• The Nemetrix is compatible with Slime-Biots, like Skurd and gains access to the many mutations Skurd gives.

Malfunctions

• The Nemetrix does not have the same Capture Mode feature as the Omnitrix.
• Only non-sapient beings can wield the Nemetrix properly because the biofeedback of the Nemetrix would destroy an intelligent mind, as sapient lifeforms cannot handle the savage feral nature of the Nemetrix aliens. Genetic parasites such as Skurd are also able to withstand high amounts of neural shifts without losing their intelligence.
  • Only Khyber and Phil have used the Nemetrix, but with dangerous side-effects such as memory loss and genetic mutation.

History

Dr. Psychobos and Malware invented the Nemetrix for Khyber using incomplete, but crucial, schematics from the original Omnitrix in order to retrieve it from Ben, and use its parts/schematics to perfect the Nemetrix.

Its purpose was to destroy Azmuth, and with the Nemetrix now perfected with a piece from the current Omnitrix's core that Dr. Psychobos stole from Ben, such devices were no longer needed to do so.

Albedo, in his alliance with Khyber, made some modifications. One of them was an evolutionary feature, similar to the Ultimatrix.

After the events of For a Few Brains More, the Nemetrix was taken into Plumber custody after Kevin removed it.

Khyber retrieved it in Stuck on You, but the Plumbers reclaimed it at the end of the episode.

Etymology

The Nemetrix's name comes from the word "Nemesis", which is another word for villain or foe.

Trivia

• It took Dr. Psychobos "mere weeks" to create the Nemetrix.
• Khyber has had the Nemetrix for about five years.
• Azmuth was not aware of the Nemetrix's existence prior to Showdown: Part 1 and feels that it is "not bad for a cheap knock off."
• The Nemetrix aliens are not considered sapient, which is why they are not in the Omnitrix.
  • The Nemetrix aliens are feral beasts while Omnitrix aliens are roughly the equivalent of humans or more "advanced" beings.
  • The Nemetrix can accept the DNA of Earth dogs, Krakkens, Root Sharks, Screegits, and Time Beasts.
  • Sapient predatory species, such as Vladats, cannot be used in the Nemetrix.
• Ship can safely use the Nemetrix due to his conventional non-sapient appearance.
  • The Nemetrix can accept the DNA of interdimensional beings if it has adequate access to said DNA.
• There are only 10 aliens in the Nemetrix (Crabdozer, Buglizard, Slamworm, Mucilator, Terroranchula, Tyrannopede, Hypnotick, Omnivoracious, Vicetopus, and Panuncian), because Khyber only collected the 10 he considered the most powerful and dangerous.
• The Nemetrix's technology level is a hard 19 or soft 20.
• The Nemetrix does not exist in Dimension 23.
• When the user transforms using the Nemetrix, the sound effect played is similar to the original Omnitrix.
• The Nemetrix was named by Derrick J. Wyatt; its working name was the Predatrix.
• Initially, Annihilus Stalk (who became the basis for the character Khyber) was meant to be the wielder of the Nemetrix, rather than Zed.
• It is possible but not probable for Ultimate Forms to be stronger than the Nemetrix aliens.
