Zombozo hypnotizes Grandpa Max's entire baking class and puts them under his spell.
Plot[]
The episode starts off with the Tennysons arriving at a baking class. Ben gasps at the sight of so many old people around. Max agrees, thinking that the class would've been younger. Much to Max's confusion, Ben wasn't gasping about the old people, rather that the class is taught by Chef Zomboni. Ben points out that it's Zombozo, and Max and Gwen both agree. Zombozo walks in and reveals that Zomboni is his legal name, and that the class is legit. He admits he doesn't do the "scary clown thing" all of the time. He starts the class off by telling them to take their seats. Ben states that he should take him to jail. Gwen points out that he hasn't lied yet, and Max motions to leave him be. Gwen agrees that Zombozo is up to something, but suggests they wait for him to strike, since they know better.
As Zombozo teaches the class, Ben gets more suspicious, as Zombozo continually refers to the ingredients with hypnotic pretenses. Soon, Ben transforms into XLR8, and confronts Zombozo. XLR8 looks over to Gwen, who is following along with the class. He asks her what happened to her "constant vigilance", and Gwen admits that she got bored since Zombozo wasn't doing anything. Zombozo states that they can't proceed until all of the students were ready. XLR8 runs around and makes the batter of his cake. Gwen asks why he made the bowl so large. Zombozo tells Ben that he'll need to use the industrial oven down the hall. Gwen brings XLR8 under the table. She tells him that this is his chance to look around, and find out what Zombozo is up to.
XLR8 runs off into the hallway and runs to an office. He finds a file cabinet, and looks for a file on Zombozo. XLR8 finally finds Zombozo's papers, which points him to his online application. He turns on the computer, and looks over the application. He finds out that Zomboni is actually his real name, and he has a legitimate history of being a baker. Back in the classroom, Zombozo uses a cake mixer to hypnotize the class. Gwen gets the idea from Max to pretend to be hypnotized, although Max, in actuality, was already hypnotized. He demands everyone to throw their wallets at him. He then demands Gwen to gather all of the wallets and bring them to him. Zombozo is disappointed to find he wallets filled with hard candy and family photos, prompting him to initiate his plan B. He orders the elderly students to begin making cakes, with plans of selling them off. Zombozo promotes Max to security, telling him to attack Ben if he comes back, and tells Gwen to make sure the old people keep baking.
XLR8 baking a cake
XLR8 finishes his cake, and walks back to the classroom. On his way, he figures he was too harsh on Zombozo, and baking really is fun. He walks into the classroom and sees the entire class working for Zombozo. He times out, and asks Gwen what's going on. Gwen states that as soon as Ben left, Zombozo hypnotized everyone except her. He then told her that he was going to bring Ben a "big surprise." Ben asks about Max, who suddenly then charges at the two. Ben throws cake in Max's face, which frees him from Zombozo's hypnotism. Max is impressed by the cake, and Gwen realizes Ben's cake can break people out of the hypnotism. Ben states that that's "boring", and he's a hero, not a baker.
Humungousaur and Bashmouth fight
Zombozo comes back, and states that while he loves to cook, but he has to stick to his life of crime. He reveals he has hypnotized Kevin, after finding him trying to steal ingredients out of his car. Excited that he now has someone to fight, Ben transforms into Humungousaur, and leaps onto the ceiling joists to fight Kevin. Kevin transforms into Bashmouth, much to Ben's disappointment. While Humungousaur and Bashmouth fight, Gwen and Max uses the cake to free people of Zombozo's hypnotism. Max gets all the old people out of the room with the offer to share photos of their grandkids. Ben times out, and Bashmouth approaches him. Gwen runs to Ben, and together, they both throw the cake into Bashmouth's mouth. Bashmouth asks why they are smearing cake into his face, and Gwen explains that Zombozo hypnotized him. Kevin questions where he is, and Ben points out that he is sneaking out the window. Ben insist that he should go after Zombozo since he's the heroic one. Kevin asks about his revenge. Gwen then suggests that they do both. Ben transforms into Shock Rock, and they execute a team-up move, defeating Zombozo.
Shock Rock walks up to Bashmouth, awaiting a fist bump. Kevin figures he won't leave until he does it, so he gives a fist bump. The two times out, and Gwen walks up to them. She says that it's good to see the two get along, which Kevin denies that that's what's happening. Gwen hands Kevin a bagged piece of cake to take, because they're all friends. Kevin states that learning and sharing is lame, and leaves, but comes back to take the cake. Max congratulates them on saving the day with cake. Ben remarks that it's not how he's supposed to save the day. Max explains that a great hero needs to be open to all sorts of opportunities to save the day, and he thinks Ben learned that being good at more than just one thing pays off. Gwen joins in, stating that Ben's aliens are amazing, but he has other skills that are great too. She also states that his cake even made Kevin a friend, although Kevin, from a far distance, denies that. Ben agrees with them, thinking that he could make a difference in other ways. An old man from the class then asks Ben to teach the class. Ben, cockily, agrees. Gwen instantly regrets having encouraging him.
Zombozo: Welcome, students! Ben: I knew it! Zombozo: Yeah, so? Zomboni's my legal name. And this class is completely legit. I don't do the scary clown thing all the time, you know. I've got other stuff going on.

Zombozo: The first thing we'll need is a truly fascinating device, some might even call it...mesmerizing. Ben: Here comes the hypnotism. Zombozo: Um, so it's an egg timer. You can use this to track your baking time. Now this next ingredient is really gonna...make your head spin! Ben: Make your head spin? Obvious hypnotism pun! Zombozo: Some nice baking soda. It makes your cake fluffy.
'Ben: (relaxes). Zombozo: Now, this part will leave you speechless! Ben: (prepares to hit the Omnitrix). Zombozo: It's flour. Ben: (relaxes). Zombozo: Now, I'll throw you for a loop - with sugar. The next ingredient, you might even say it will hypnotize you into submission. Ben: Here it comes! (transforms into XLR8). XLR8: Not so fast, Zombozo! Zombozo: You have a problem with milk? XLR8: You said you were going to hypnotize us into submission! Zombozo: It's a common phrase. XLR8: It so isn't! Old Lady: I heard it. Zombozo: She's heard it. XLR8: When! Old Lady: Well, that man said it just now.

Gwen and Ben: Kevin?! Ben: What is he doing here?! Zombozo: Can you believe this kid was trying to steal ingredients from my car? So, I decided to take this poor misguided boy under my wing! So I did what any evil clown would do - I hypnotized him!

Gwen's usage of the phrase "constant vigilance" may be a reference to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, in which the character Mad-Eye Moody yells "Constant vigilance!" whenever his class is sleepy.
