Monongahela Foundry is a foundry in Bellwood.
Appearance[]
Exterior[]
The foundry is a large, flat-roofed, rectangular building, with tall cylindrical chimneys.
Interior[]
While it was active, the foundry had many vats of lava hanging from the ceiling, causing the metal walls to glow a fierce red. It had many levels of metal platforms, surrounded by railings for safety. Many metal beams were stored here, laying in heaps.
After being shut down, the vats of lava remained hanging from the ceiling, so the temperature was still hot enough to please the pterodactyls residing there. After Big Chill cooled the foundry down, it no longer glows red.
History[]
Alien Force[]
In Save the Last Dance, Big Chill went to Monongahela Foundry to consume metal. Some police officers tried to stop him, but he retaliated. Julie attempted to diffuse the situation but was unsuccessful. After Big Chill left the foundry, Julie contacted Gwen and told her what was going on.
At some point afterwards, the foundry was shut down.
Ultimate Alien[]
In The Eggman Cometh, the team tried to get the Sheriff of Bellwood to arrest Dr. Animo, but he said that news of pterodactyls getting out would ruin the reopening of the Monongahela Foundry and kicked them out. Later, some pterodactyls wreaked havoc at the foundry because they wanted the heat from the melting steel. Ben, Gwen, and Kevin showed up (with Ben transforming into Big Chill) and easily stopped them by entrapping them in ice.
