That is not the rule neither was that your mistake. Read the rules. It states that you should not quote a post if there is no post between and two levels of quoting is the limit. Having two adjacent quotes is not against the rules and that was not your mistake.
I think the name of it should be "Ben 10: Hero Force" or "Ben 10: Max Force" or "Ben 10: Ultimate Force" ... depends on which aliens are coming back and how many new ones there are. Also, who would all the aliens from the orignal Ben 10 be? Also, I think he should use more puns...those are funny!
- By the way: He should use Benwolf, Benmummy, Benvicktor, Upchuck, Ditto, Way Big, Eye Guy, Ripjaws, and mybe Ghostfreak more often. Ben being Ghostfreak... He wouldn't feel weirded out. What about Eon? Ben would make an awesome Eon because he's good. The live action movie "Ben 10: Race Against Time" was alright though.
I've seen all of the 4 Ben 10 series and 5 (4?) movies. I'm keeping track lol
- I could email you the thing that I'm working on if that's alright with you...
I'm not sure they would mix up the names of the other series for a new name. More likely they'll create a new name altogether. You know the second series was called "Alien Force" in reference to the team Ben assembled with the Plumbers Helpers, as it was like an "anti-alien taskforce".
I don't have the answer to that, but there are a lot of theories as to which aliens the reboot should have. Check the forums.
What do you mean Ben would make an awesome Eon? Eon is a villain and a corrupt alternate Ben Tennyson. Ben wouldn't want to be him. But that's just my opinion.
I'd like a fusion that consists of Alien X OV, Ultimate Humungousaur UA, Heatblast 10K, Diamondhead UA, Terraspin OV, XLR8 OV, Ultimate Big Chill UA and Ultimate Echo Echo OV, Feedback 16yo, and Ghostfreak UA.
- I posted this request on my blog post on Fanfiction...
Yeah I know you meant Ben. I was just asking was it similar to how Kevin gets multiple alien fusions at once.
Thanks. When I consider which aliens to fuse, I tend to have the aliens cover up each others weaknesses. Since Rath lacks intelligence and Grey Matter lacks physical ability, they would be a pretty good combination.
The one I wanted was Alien X, Ultimate Humungousaur, Heatblast, Diamondhead, Terraspin, XLR8, Ultimate Big Chill, Ultimate Echo Echo, Feedback, and Ghostfreak all fused together in the Omniverse style, maybe a Ben 10: Ultimate Alien style even.
Whatever the name is going to be for the reboot, I just hope its good.
I agree with the returning of all aliens from the original series, including Ghostfreak. I just the new art style won't ruin them.
On the other hand, I REALLY hope that Ben (Reboot) will not turn into Eon.
I feel like that Race against Time should have been an animated film instead of a live action movie. Although it had an interesting concept with Eon and the Chronians, the mediocre acting and bad visuals turned me off. Thank goodness Alien Swarm improved with much better performances and improved writing.
Hey there. So we can agree that Kai, Julie, and Ester aren't suitable for being romantically involved with Ben and even though you grew to liking Kevin and Gwen, you at least understand the flaws of their relationship and that you agree that they don't work together, right? Just want to check up on that first.
If so, who do you think would be a suitable choice for being a romantic partner for Gwen and Ben that is better than Kevin, Julie, Ester, and Kai?
Gwen and Kevin got together far too quickly and was rushed, even though the pairing itself doesn't bother me. Though I'm starting to hate it after Omniverse, mainly due to how insufferable Gwen has become.
For Gwen, I'm really not sure. She hasn't been friends with anyone I could see her getting together with.
Ben isn't much easier. If I had to pick, maybe Elena Validus.
Maybe Elena but I don't think Ben would want to be with someone like her considering that she's being controlled by those Nanochips and thus made her pretty psychopathic. I don't feel that there's much of a connection between her and Ben anyways. At least not that much.
I will mention that there is Eunice and Cooper for Ben and Gwen but they're pretty much a no in my book. In fact, here's something that really bugs me with Eunice. Considering that her physical appearance came from Gwen's DNA, you'd think that Eunice would look much more like Gwen, if not exactly like Gwen. Instead, she looks more like Ben's mom, Sandra. Heck, if I were to imagine Sandra Tennyson as a teenager, that would be Eunice. Another screw up that they made. As for Cooper, his crush towards Gwen felt like it came out of nowhere. In the Original Series, I believe he doesn't even have a crush on Gwen. Instead, Cooper wanted to gain Ben and Gwen's affection by lying to them about having tickets for I believe some Sumo Slammers movie or something.
I'll give you a bit of a mind game as to who I pick to be with Gwen and Ben. Here's a hint, I mentioned that my choice is a weird and likely controversial one. Based off of that, who do you think I would pick as to who would be paired with Ben and who would be paired with Gwen?
Yeah, I said it was a really hard pick. But she seemed like one of the only girls who wasn't a satellite love interest, made specifically to hook up with Ben.
I'm aware of them both. Eunice just feels weird, since she was made from Gwen's DNA and she's an artificial being. Cannot see that working.
Cooper did cross my mind, but honestly rejected it immediately. That ship is going nowhere. It's been a while since I've seen the OS episode. Ben said in AF that Cooper had a huge crush on Gwen, so maybe it happened offscreen. For the most one sided crush between a sheltered nerd and some random pretty girl he met.
Umm... for Gwen is it a villain?
The majority of Ben's ships could be considered controversial. Is it a character he met in OS?
Not a villain and is from the Original Series. In fact, for Ben, this person has been in each show of the series and the same goes with my choice for Gwen. If you do figure it out, again, it's a weird choice but after a lot of thinking, it actually makes a lot of sense.
No on Charmcaster and no on JT and Cash. Ben having feelings for this person, ehhhh, sort of. Again, much closer than everyone else we've discussed. A lot closer. You would likely have never even expected it.
You want to make one more guess or do you just want me to tell you?
Ok. It's Ben and Gwen themselves. Ben paired with Gwen. Gwen paired with Ben. Yes, they are cousins and that's the part that makes this pairing weird and likely controversial. However, if you think about how Ben and Gwen's relationship had developed in the Original Series from hateful to caring as well as how their characteristics actually makes them very fitting to be together, it really does make a lot of sense. I'll even point out how Gwen was originally Ben's best friend and fellow classmate before Man of Action changed her into being Ben's first cousin when I believe they were working on season 3 of the Original Series. I even heard a long while back that there was a plan for how Ben and the beta version of Gwen would end up dating each other 5 years after the events of the Original Series. I don't know if this is true though and I can't seem to find where I heard this info from. Although, this goes so far as to me even thinking up a theory that Man of Action actually intended to have Ben and Gwen be the series' main/major romantic couple regardless as to whether they would even be cousins or not. This even fits in to Man of Action's style of realism and mostly bizarre/weird elements that was incorporated in the Ben 10 Original Series. Either way, that's my choice for a romantic pairing in the series. Ben and Gwen themselves. Again, it is weird but it does make a lot of sense.
Ohhh right. I would never have gotten that, I see what you mean by controversial.
Yeah its probably never going to happen because they're cousins. Maybe in an alternate universe we're they're not related, I guess it could happen, but otherwise no. Personality wise they should be fine, but unfortunately its now cemented in canon they're related. Too late to go back and change it and make the main female character a friend rather than a cousin. Though honestly it's not that big an issue, since ships aren't that important with this show.
I've heard other weird ones before like Ben and Kevin.
I've heard of Ben and Rook. Anyways, it can happen just as long as it's done the right way. In fact, cousin romances shouldn't actually be a big deal anyways. I mean like just go onto TvTropes and look up the page "Kissing Cousins." There's actually dozens of examples, both subtle and prominent, of cousin romances. From comic books to films and from series like Superman to X-Men and etc. Heck, there's an example involving Hulk and She-Hulk having mated with each other or something and those two are cousins to each other. One thing that is important is that there is a reason that justifies implementing that very concept such as this example from TvTropes:
Wolverine and the X-Men made Silver Samurai and Mariko Yashida into husband and wife, even though they're cousins in the comics. It's not mentioned one way or another if they're still related in the cartoon. Justified as they're Japanese and it fits their culture.
As long as it's justifiable and implemented and designed and structured very well, then a relationship like this can indeed happen and work for Ben 10. Plus, one thing that people and Cartoon Network needs to understand is that this is a work of fiction. Not everything has to apply to real life. Besides, what do you think is weirder: Ben and Gwen being in a cousin relationship or Max having a relationship with Xylene, a freakin alien? I'm only referring to the Original Series here; not the sequels. Plus, there's the many other weird moments that the Original Series has.
This is another reason why I didn't like Kevin transitioning into a hero. The way his transition felt so rushed and Kevin's relationship with Gwen feeling so rushed and forced. I think that this was a major reason why Cartoon Network made Kevin a hero. To prevent Ben and Gwen from getting together. Again, I even believe that this relationship between Ben and Gwen was something that Man of Action always had planned and that this was one of the major reasons why Cartoon Network took the series away from MOA and brought in new writers.
In my opinion, Cartoon Network should have let this type of relationship happen. Regardless of how weird and likely controversial it is, it makes the most amount of sense and would work best for the show, just as long as it's done right. Ben and Gwen really do have the strongest relationship in the series so it would be right to pair them together as a couple, even if they are cousins.
Well, who knows, maybe with Man of Action back on Ben 10, something like this could indeed happen but I doubt that this reboot will be any good and will just most likely cause more harm and damage to the series than good. This is just my take on this concept.
I dont know. It still feels too weird and complicated for them to do. Especially back then when same sex couples were still an issue. In Western society it's just frowned upon to have relationships with relatives. If CN didn't intervene, someone else might've. Also Ben and Gwen didn't have to actually get intimate in order to be close. If they had Ben and Gwen paired together, there would be a whole arc about them keeping their love secret and struggling for acceptance from society. They probably wanted to avoid the hassle.
I don't think that reason alone is why they made Kevin a hero. Firstly, they already paired Ben with Julie, and secondly it didn't have to be Kevin who ends up with Gwen.
Gwen and Kevin isn't anywhere near the best ship, but after Omniverse, it's far from the worst one. While it was rushed, at the very least it wasn't shallow like a lot of Ben 10 ships. I'll admit it did feel weird for the former criminal and the female protagonist to end up together.
As I already mentioned above. If they let it happen, the fandom would be set on fire and quite possibly the show would be banned in many regions. Have you heard of a Canadian show called 6teen? They had one episode suggesting two of the male main characters were in a gay relationship and the episode got banned in US. Imagine what would happen if it was for a whole show.
And you know there are ethical reasons why society is against relatives from getting together. The family could carry a recessive disease, and if two carriers were parents, all their children would show the condition.
Only chance it happens if Ben and Gwen are no longer cousins.
Well, it's not just Western society views that Cartoon Network needs to take into account on. There are the international viewers as well, which is where this concept is more popular and favored in. Heck, Ben 10 is more popular with international viewers than it is with U.S. viewers. Why do you think CN is airing the reboot internationally first and then in the U.S.? Overall, there are other cultures around the world that accept this kind of relationship and as I mentioned before, this concept has been done in other forms of entertainment media and literature. Again, the examples that the "Kissing Cousins" trope that the TvTropes website lists.
I said "a major reason" meaning that it's not the only reason why CN made Kevin a hero.
And look at where gay relationship are now. They are accepted almost worldwide. Besides, CN revealed that Steven Universe has a lesbian couple and look how that turned out. At this point, we are becoming more willing to accept and support weird, strange, and abnormal relationships. If at this point it's now ok to put in a gay relationship in a cartoon show, why not try to go for a cousin relationship next?
And would CN let the Tennyson family carry a recessive disease? Yeah, I doubt it. We're talking about a 4-7% chance of a genetic disorder in a child from a cousin couple with a 93-96% of nothing happening to the child at all. Scientists don't even consider this a biological reason to discourage cousin relationships. Those chances only increase if relationships like this continue within one family for multiple generations. And again, this is a fictional show with fictional characters. There are many examples of entertainment media and literature that did this cousin relationship concept. Why shouldn't Cartoon Network follow up on that with Ben 10? This is another reason why this isn't a big deal to have in the show.
Now yes, Ben and Gwen don't have to be a couple and that alone won't make the Ben 10 series great but there sure are a whole lot of fans, if not most fans, that do favor this relationship and want this relationship to happen in the show.
Sorry for the wait, I've been really busy today. I'll wrap it up if you like.
Yes I realize views about relationships have changed today. Which is why I said "back then" there was a bit of a homophobic trend in those days. So, it would have been very risky to do cousin relationships.
And honestly, your whole point on bringing that up is because Ben and Gwen's characters worked, not having cousins dating for the sake of it. They probably wanted to play it safe with the network, and I just can't see it happening all those years ago. If the reboot changes it so that Ben and Gwen aren't related, then there's a possibility.
My point about bringing up the genetics is there is legit reasoning for a taboo against relatives marrying, and not just society shunning what's different. While the chance of one condition is low, you have to take into account all of the conditions. Also, some conditions are not that unlikely and can be determined by the genes of a single chromosome. And yes, I know it's fictional, but these have always been sensitive areas in works of fiction.
As I said before, ships are not the show's main focus. No one would lose anything for them not getting together. And even if there was a chance Ben and Gwen were attracted, the society they lived in would probably mean they would try to shy away from such emotions simply because they're related.
I won't stop you from shipping them, I just don't think it's going to happen, regardless of whether CN intervened.
As I keep saying before, your opinion is your opinion and I'm fine with it. I would be willing to counter argue with all of this but I don't want to get into a full on argument with you again because of what happened last time. I explained pretty much everything that I wanted to discuss and I'm just going to leave it there. That is unless you want us to keep going on with this discussion.
Khyber's okay, I did like the episodes where he captured Ben and had him fight against his Nemetrix pet. It's just there seemed to be so many filler episodes in season 1. That season also had a confusing habit of jumping between 11 yr old and 16 yr old Ben.
You might have noticed the thread Blaze highlighted about CVUs. I was chatting with Blaze on the chat and we both agreed that you'll make an awesome CVU. I would have applied myself but I dont have 150 quality edits (Perhaps close to 100). So please apply. We'll need your services.

I had looked at your threads and your block record. The reason you had your first block without warning because you had an link to an illegal streaming site.
