| “ | Ah, I see you don't know either. Oh, and Agent Gunther, you can stop imagining nasty ways to hurt us. | ” |
– Servantis interrogating Agent Gunther's mind.[1] | ||
The Loyalty Neuro-Matrix[2][3] was the device that allowed Servantis his power over others' minds.
Appearance[]
The Loyalty Neuro-Matrix took the form of a red gem embedded in Servantis' forehead.
Features[]
The Loyalty Neuro-Matrix had the ability to give, change, remove, and restore memories via electricity[1] as well as force loyalty from the Amalgam Kids.[4] It could also be used to mind-read, as shown when Servantis interrogated Molly Gunther.[1]
The Loyalty Neuro-Matrix also allowed the user to hear others' thoughts within a certain radius.[2][3]
History[]
Five Years Prior to Omniverse[]
After using Kevin to graft Cerebrocrustacean DNA into himself, Servantis began wearing the Loyalty Neuro-Matrix on his forehead.
After the failed attack on Ben, Servantis wiped everyone's memories,[5][4] and gave Kevin and the Amalgam Kids a set of fake memories.[2][3]
At some point, Servantis also forged Max's memories of Devin Levin, so Max would feel obligated to keep an eye on Kevin. Servantis also admits that he zapped him into "babysitting' the Plumbers' Helpers.
Omniverse[]
In The Rooters of All Evil, Servantis used the Loyalty Neuro-Matrix to probe Patelliday's, Jerry's and Molly Gunther's minds for Kevin's wherabouts. Upon finding out Max was conspiring against him, Servantis read his mind too. After Servantis and Kevin butted heads, memories were transferred and Kevin remembered Servantis and his history with the Amalgam Kids. During his ambush on Kevin, Servantis used the Loyalty Neuro-Matrix to cause Zed to stop attacking him. Servantis also reads Ben's and Max's minds one last time to figure where Kevin escaped too, to no avail.
In Weapon XI: Part 1, Servantis uses the Loyalty Neuro-Matrix to force the Plumbers' Helpers to fight for him. He also causes Kevin to demorph from his metal form. Servantis calls it "reconnecting their psychic link to their team leader".
In Weapon XI: Part 2, Kevin destroys the Loyalty Neuro-Matrix, locking Servantis out of everyone's minds for good, and restoring their memories.

Etymology[]
The Loyalty Neuro-Matrix's name comes from the neuromatrix theory of pain. The theory states that the perception of painful stimuli does not result from the brain's passive registration of tissue trauma, but from its active generation of subjective experiences through a network of neurons known as the neuromatrix.
