When a mysterious electrical storm downs the Omni-Copter at the Equator, Team Tennyson soon discovers Solar & Polar are behind it, but when Ben accidentally combines the two into a more powerful Uni-Twin, our hero must think fast if he is going to save the planet!
Plot[]
While flying in the Omni-Copter over the equator, Max turns on auto-pilot while he leaves to use the washroom. Just as he leaves, the Omni-Copter shakes, and Gwen spots a nearby electrical storm below them. The auto-pilot fails, and the Omni-Copter begins to plummet. Ben touts he can fly the Omni-Copter, since he's flown as an alien before, but Gwen argues it's not the same thing. Max quickly runs back to the pilot's seat, and regains control. The three look down at the jungle, and see a machine sparking with electricity. They decide to take a closer look.
The twins arguing
At the machine, Polar Twain and Solar Twain argue with each other over who contributed the most to their machine, a treaded vehicle with two coils and a massive glass dome. Team Tennyson watch them argue, and Gwen deduces that the machine is the cause of the storm. Without any consultation, Ben transforms into Heatblast, jumps down to their level, and fires at the Twain Twins. They dodge his first attack, and Polar manages to push him back with his suit. Heatblast throws out another fireball, this time hitting Solar's shoulder and melting his suit. Heatblast suddenly transforms into XLR8, but shrugs it off and begins to circle the twins. They stand back-to-back as XLR8 transforms back into Heatblast, and hits the two of them with a stream of fire, melding their suits together. He stands before them, and transforms into XLR8, then Cannonbolt, before reverting back to himself. Ben notices the Omnitrix glitching, and realizes their machine is messing with it. Meanwhile, Polar picks up metal scraps and chucks them at Ben, who manages to not be hit by them.
Solar reminds Polar that they have business to take care of, and he re-activates the machine. They then notice Ben transforming into XLR8, and Solar tries to hit him, annoying Polar, who is pulled with his every move. XLR8 trips them, and the two run away to figure their situation out. Max and Gwen catch up to XLR8, when suddenly, the machine activates, forming a fissure in the ground. Two giant robots appear, featuring the faces of the Twain Twins. The AIs explain to them that they had plans to split the Earth across the equator using their Earth Splitter machine, so they could each own their own half. Gwen tries to explain to the AIs the disastrous consequences of rending the Earth, but the AIs shrug off her concerns. Solar AI plugs into the Earth Splitter, running his weapon sequence. However, Polar AI quickly knocks him out of the slot and takes his place. The two start fighting, activating their respective weapons and destroying the ground below. Gwen and XLR8 start to argue, since the latter let the Twain Twins get away. Max comes between them, and encourages them to work as a team, but XLR8 doesn't feel appreciated and leaves to stop the Twain Twins by himself. Max and Gwen decide to stop the machine.
XLR8 rushes through the jungle, and sits atop a tree eating a banana. Eventually, the twins show up, and he surprises them, causing them to slip on a banana peel. He speeds by them as they try to hit him with their magnetic pulses, but they miss. He mocks them from a tree, and goes in for a kick, only to transform into Four Arms in mid-air and miss. He transforms into Heatblast, and narrowly dodges an attack from the twins. He fails to dodge the next one, and their onslaught continues as they try to hit him with a palm tree. Just as he's about to fire back, Heatblast reverts back to Ben, much to his dismay. He runs away, and the Twain Twins follow close behind. Ben then transforms into XLR8, and speeds through the jungle.
Meanwhile, Max and Gwen have made little progress chucking rocks at the Earth Splitter. Max notices the coils are the power source, and they need to take them out to shut it down. Just then, some trees topple over, and the two notice a coconut snapping in two upon hitting the ground. Soon, they amass an armful of coconuts and throw them at the coils, causing one of them to malfunction while the AIs fight themselves. The Solar AI takes over, powering up his still-functioning weapon, and causing debris to ascend into the air. Max and Gwen realize it would probably be easier if they let the AIs fight themselves. XLR8 then arrives on the scene, with the twins in hot pursuit. They notice the floating minerals, and form a massive boulder with them. However, they fight over them, buying XLR8 some time. However, he transforms into Heatblast as the two finally attack him, trapping him between the rocks. They push the boulder near a river, only for Heatblast to transform into Humungousaur and easily break out, before reverting back to Ben.
He taunts the Twain Twins, stating that they can only beat him if they put their heads together. The two look at each other, and a daydream begins where the two, still stuck together, skip through a field. Polar notices his show untied, and bends down to tie it, only to let go of his balloon. He starts to cry, but Solar nabs it before it floats away. In reality, Ben questions why they've been staring at each other for around three minutes. They snap out of their fantasy, and agree to get along, trapping Ben inside the rocks again. They chuck the boulder into the river and leave, only to be hit by Cannonbolt bounding out of the river. He transforms back into XLR8 and remarks how dangerous that was. The twins lift two boulders over him, and he reverts back to Ben.
Back at the Earth Splitter, the AIs continue to fight for control. Max and Gwen sit back, playing sudoku and looking at her phone, respectively. Gwen then notices the Solar AI being flung their way, and they avoid being hit. The Polar AI activates another weapon, causing even more rocks to raise from the fissure. Max and Gwen realize they might have not had the best plan, as the Solar AI reclaims his spot. Eventually, the AIs and Earth Splitter malfunction, tossing the machine into the air.
The Earth Splitter rising
Elsewhere, the twins are about to crush Heatblast, as he transforms into Rath. They then overhear their Earth Splitter malfunctioning, and they leave Rath behind, who then reverts back to Ben. Nearby Max and Gwen look at the smoking Earth Splitter, when the Twain Twins arrive. They re-orientate it, and activate a new sequence, raising the Earth Splitter into the air. It prepares to fire a ray from its bottom. Ben arrives on the scene, and explains to Gwen and Max that the Omnitrix has been bugging out due to their magnetic powers, as he transforms from Shock Rock, to Diamondhead, back to himself. Ben and Gwen start to argue again, as the Earth Splitter fires off. Max points out that if the Twain Twins can get along, so should they, and they agree. Gwen explains her plan to Ben.
They catch the attention of the twins, and Gwen asks them why they're still trying to split the Earth. Solar says he had the idea to just use the Earth Splitter to hold the world for ransom, and Gwen agrees with him. Ben agrees with Polar, causing a rift between the two to form. Ben laughs and transforms into Four Arms. He grabs a palm tree and leaps into the air, striking the twins with it and knocking them into their machine, which falls into the ray's hole and explodes. Later, Four Arms hands the twins off to the local authorities, and Polar claims that the next time, he'll plan alone. Max says he's proud of his grandchildren for making up, and he leaves to tend to the Omni-Copter.
Solar: (turns on the Earth Splitter) At last! Our creation...lives! Polar: Oh, but I wanted to turn it on.

↑When the TwainTwins go to check on the Earth Splitter, Rath reverts back to Ben. When he is next seen, he is sliding into frame, having just reverted from a transformation off-screen. This indicates that Ben transformed into an alien, though the identity of the transformation remains unknown.
