Justine appears to take her job more seriously than Remi, questioning his authenticity as a scientist.

In That's The Stuff, Justine explained to Ben the purpose of the VNM-3 satellite. Afterwards, she visited her colleague Remi in the lab, who was investigating the specimen. They soon left for lunch, accidentally destroying the container containing the specimen.
After Omni-Enhanced Diamondhead defeated the specimen, Justine speculated its shapeshifting abilities are an accelerated way to reach the top of a local food chain. She congratulated Ben for his quick thinking when fighting the specimen.
