Harvey Hackett is Kevin's mother's second husband and Kevin's stepfather.
Appearance[]
Harvey is partially bald, has blue eyes and black hair. He wears a white shirt underneath his blue one with dark blue pants and brown shoes.
Personality[]

Harvey is a good man who cares about his wife, as shown when he refused to let her see Ultimate Kevin, as he didn't want Kevin to break her heart after all the progress he had made as a hero.[1]
Although Kevin resents him, Harvey does not feel the same way about him and still considers him his son.[1]
He proves to be extremely brave, having faced Ultimate Kevin head-on without fear.[1]
History[]
Background[]
Harvey's true past is currently unknown. Kevin's real father was the cause of Kevin running away from home due to his mistreatment and abuse of Kevin.[DJW 1][DJW 2]
After Devin was no longer in the picture, Kevin's mother met Harvey and the two married. According to him, Kevin was four years old when they married.[1] During that time, Harvey was made aware of the Levin family's secret; Kevin is an Osmosian. Though he loved Kevin's mother, he accepted that she would never love him as much as she loved Kevin.
Kevin's relationship with Harvey was turbulent at best. Kevin not only saw Harvey as a replacement for his real father, but as an obstacle for his mother's love. Harvey, despite accepting and raising Kevin as his own son, was afraid of him because of his powers - something that Kevin always suspected, which worsened their relationship.
The boiling point came when Kevin somehow absorbed energy and demolished their old home. After that, Kevin became mentally unstable because of the energy and, coupled with the destruction of their house, as well as his initial dislike of Harvey, made himself believe that Harvey convinced Kevin's Mother to reject him. Taking this as a form of abandonment, Kevin ran away.
Even after reconciling with his mother, Kevin still wasn't fond of Harvey.[2]Ultimate Alien[]

Harvey first appeared in Absolute Power: Part 2, when he tried to intervene with Kevin's rampage as Ultimate Kevin. Kevin vented his rage at him for taking his father's place and convincing his mother to kick him out into the street after an incident with his powers years earlier. Harvey made it frankly clear that Kevin misunderstood everything that had happened, further owing to Kevin's instability at the time. Despite Kevin threatening to kill him in order to get to Gwen, Harvey stood firm, telling Kevin that he was no longer afraid of him. When Ben showed up, he thanked Harvey for trying to stall Kevin.

- Originally, Harvey's last name was Levin, and he was implied to have been deceased.[DM 2] This was later changed in two ways: firstly, it was revealed that the Levin surname belonged to Kevin's biological father.[3] Secondly, Ultimate Alien would show that Harvey is alive.[1][BTP 1]
