The Hand of Armageddon[2][3] (also called the Hands of Armageddon)[4][1] is an artifact that existed throughout time and space, it is a crosstime gateway, existing in many worlds.
Appearance[]
The Hands of Armageddon is technology resembling a large green tablet with many inscriptions circling around on it. In Ben 10: Race Against Time, five orbs were seen protruding from it- one in the center, with the remaining four all going on opposing ends of the tablet.
History[]
Ben 10[]
The Race Against Time Timeline version of the Hands of Armageddon arrived on Earth and was secured by the Plumbers, who regularly moved it around. Over the next 200 years, the Plumbers made many attempts to destroy the Hands, but it proved immune to all their methods and caused several famous disasters over history. In the first attempt to destroy it, the energy force from the Hands created the Grand Canyon. At some later point, another failed attempt started the Great Chicago Fire. When Edward White attempted to destroy the Hands in 1989, it accidentally caused the Great Earthquake.
While the Hands of Armageddon was being held in Bellwood by the Plumbers, Eon located it with the intent on activating the Hands and unleashing a invasion upon the Earth. However, Eon found that he was too old and weak now to successfully activate the Hands. Instead, Eon used the Omnitrix to turn the timeline's native Ben Tennyson into a younger version of himself.
Upon capturing Ben, Eon deactivated the Omnitrix's failsafe so that would transform Ben into a younger duplicate of Eon who would have the full power to activate the Hands.[pop-up 1][1] Ben as Young Eon succeeded in activating the Hands of Armageddon, opening a time rift to allow an fleet through. But the Hands was disrupted and deactivated by Max, closing the time rift and sending the invaders back to their home timeline.
Shortly after the Hands was deactivated, Wildmutt knocked Eon into the machine. This destroyed that timeline's version of the Hands of Armageddon, although other versions of the Hands throughout the timelines continued to exist.[3]
Ultimate Alien[]
The Prime Timeline version of the Hand of Armageddon was found by Ben, Gwen and Kevin at a museum in Bellwood. Whenever activated, this version of the Hand would summon Eon's minions from another dimension.
The Alien Force, Professor Paradox, and the Ultimate Alien Future Timeline Ben 10,000 took the Hand to a desert where it could be safely destroyed. However, when Ultimate Ben used Clockwork's time rays in unison with Way Big's cosmic rays in an attempt to destroy the Hand, they only succeeded in summoning Eon.
The Hand were successfully destroyed by Jetray, which also resulted in the simultaneous destruction of every remaining version of the Hand in the multiverse. In the process, all of space-time changed, Eon exploded in a flash of purple, and all of the alternate Bens he had enslaved were sent back to their timelines.
