The Generator Rex Dimension is where the series Generator Rex takes place.

History

Background

The Nanite Event spread microscopic machines called Nanites across the world, and nanites are present in nearly every living being. When a person, animal, or plant's nanites spontaneously activate, the victim is mutated into a being known as an "Exponentially Variegated Organism," or E.V.O. for short, becoming monstrous and typically losing any sanity and going on a violent rampage. The EVO threat is controlled by an organization known as Providence. In this dimension, alien contact has not been established and the idea of aliens is seen, at least by Rex, as something ridiculous.

Ben 10/Generator Rex: Heroes United

Ben enters Rex's world by accident, where he mistook Rex Salazar for an alien attempting to destroy Bellwood. However, he was also mistaken for an EVO, who Rex tried to cure, but both found that they were not what the other thought they were.

"Captured", Ben was taken back to Rex's with an unconscious Agent Six following a battle with an unknown enemy he had been chasing through the storm. While in the base, Ben learned of what was going on in that world, becoming confused by some facts, but generally grasping things are not going good. Deciding to team up with Rex, Ben met Caesar and learned that he had banished the Alpha nanite to the Null Void, thinking it was an empty dimension when in reality it's a prison for alien criminals.

Together, Rex and Ben teamed up to defeat Alpha. With Caesar's help, Ben entered the Null Void as a stop on the way back home, using Murk Upchuck to dump Alpha into the Null Void.

• Generator Rex was originally intended to take place in the same dimension as Ben 10, but that did not come to pass due to both series having different toy licenses.
  • Cartoon Network had planned for there to be a shared universe between all of their action cartoons at the time.
  • The scrapped “shared universe” idea would be resurrected years later for Ben Gen 10.
• There is an alternate version of Ben in Rex's dimension but not counterparts of characters related to him.
  • Ben hypothesized that Gwen, Kevin, and Max may not exist on Rex's Earth.
