Frankenstrike, formerly known as Benvicktor, is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Transylian from the planet Anur Transyl in the Anur System.

Appearance

Ben as Frankenstrike

Frankenstrike has an appearance similar to the classic depiction of Boris Karloff's version of Victor Frankenstein's monster. He has a muscular body with a human nose, black hair with sideburns, and a pair of bolts on each side of his neck that are green in the crease. He wears metal gloves with his fingers showing and metal pants with lines on them with glowing green triangle dashes in the middle. While he does have two tower-shaped conductor coil-like generators on his back, they are not machines. Rather, these generators are metallic-organic growths.

In the original series, Frankenstrike had dark greyish yellow skin, his hair had a mullet hairstyle with brown at the end, and stitch-like lines on his arms (right arm: half of his shoulder and left arm: halfway from his glove). His gloves were brown, his pants were black, and the bolts were black. He had three bolts on his chest in addition to the ones on his neck and white lines on his waist that connected to the original Omnitrix symbol like a belt clasp.

In Ultimate Alien, Frankenstrike looked mostly the same except his skin, gloves, back generators, belt, bolts, and the bottom of his shoes were all recolored grey. The original Omnitrix symbol has been replaced with a grey hexagon and the bolts had no green lines on them. The Ultimatrix symbol was located on his chest, replacing the top bolt in the triangular shape made by the bolts on his chest.

In Omniverse, Frankenstrike's hair is shorter, lacking bangs and a mullet while retaining the evident sideburns. His skin has several uneven seams, combining grayish-yellow with darker grey. He also has large pink scars across his chest and right arm. Though he retains the bolts on his neck, the bolts on his chest have been relocated to his back. He has also gained more bolts, one on each shoulder and elbow. The bolts are bronze and resemble fathead screws. His belt is green with white stripes and bolts in them, one of these bolts being a buckle. His turrets are green with screws on them, and the coils are white and feature green bulbs at the tips. His gloves are green with bolts on their knuckles, his pants are a greenish-black color, and his "boots" are copper with three green slits in them. Frankenstrike's teeth are now yellowed and uneven, and bear out when he speaks. His Omnitrix symbol is embedded in the flesh of his right pectoral, with several deep scars protruding from where it resides.

Benzarro as Frankenstrike

Benzarro's Frankenstrike looks identical to Ben Prime's Frankenstrike in Omniverse, except his skin is recolored to resemble Benzarro's and his eyes, back generators, bolts, belt, and Omnitrix symbol are recolored purple.

Frankenstrike has an electromagnetic body with two conductor coils on his back that allow him to generate and manipulate green lightning and electromagnetism.

Frankenstrike can emit powerful lightning bolts and emit magnetism from his hands or his feet, allowing him to attach to metal structures.

Frankenstrike can emit his lightning in the form of waves that can travel along flat surfaces.

Frankenstrike can alternatively shoot concentrated beams of electricity.

Frankenstrike possesses enhanced strength, as he was able to punch through a Techadon robot and knock its arm off. He is also strong enough to carry an Appoplexian over his shoulders.

Frankenstrike has enhanced jumping, as shown when he was able to jump and hold onto a high ladder when waiting to ambush Phil.

Frankenstrike is durable enough to withstand being blasted by one of Phil's electric blasts, as well as having enhanced reflexes, as he was able to dodge the same blasts easily.

Frankenstrike can enhance his physical attacks by giving them an electrical charge.

Like all Anur System aliens, Frankenstrike is immune to the effects of Corrodium and can see in the dark.

Frankenstrike can survive in the vacuum of space.

Despite his claims, Frankenstrike is actually quite fast, as demonstrated when Lightning Volt was able to keep up with Rath.

Frankenstrike has a form of technokinesis by connecting himself to machines with his conductor coils to control them. He can do so with his electricity as well.

Frankenstrike is resistant against extreme heat and immune to an Anodite's mana attacks, as demonstrated by Viktor.

Frankenstrike can be harmed by the impact of another Transylian's electrical attacks, as shown when he blasted Dr. Viktor with a charge strong enough to send him flying into a Null Void portal.

The two generators on Frankenstrike's shoulders are the source of his electricity, which means opponents like Phil can absorb his electricity through them.

Frankenstrike is unable to fit through small or tight spaces.

Frankenstrike has a durability limit, as his arm hurt after he was thrown onto the ground by Phil.

Like any other organic being, Frankenstrike can be banished to another timeline by a Chronosapien.

Frankenstrike can be controlled and hypnotized by Vladats via their Corrupturas, as demonstrated by Viktor and many other Transylian residents of Anur Transyl.

Frankenstrike can easily be scared by Toepick's species.

History

Ben 10

• Frankenstrike first appeared in Be Afraid of the Dark, where he was added to the active playlist after the Omnitrix "sampled" Viktor's DNA. Frankenstrike battled Zs'Skayr and the Mummy on the exterior of the space station and personally sent Viktor into an ill-created portal to the Null Void before it closed.

Ultimate Alien

• In Ben 10,000 Returns, Frankenstrike was re-unlocked by Ben 10,000.

Omniverse

• In Max's Monster, Frankenstrike fought and trapped Phil in the streets of Bellwood.
• In Something Zombozo This Way Comes, Frankenstrike fought some Zombie Clowns and defeated the Circus Freaks.
• In Cough It Up, Frankenstrike defeated Kraab.
• In The Color of Monkey, Frankenstrike chased Rojo and fought a Techadon robot.

Benzarro's Timeline

• In And Then There Were None, Benzarro as Frankenstrike chased after No Watch Ben before Spidermonkey got the latter to safety.

Etymology

His placeholder name, Benvicktor, is a combination of "Ben" and "Vicktor".

The name Frankenstrike is a combo of the name of Frankenstein, referencing his appearance, and the word "strike", as in a lightning strike, which alludes to his electrokinetic abilities.

Trivia

• Frankenstrike's appearance is based off of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein's monster.
• Frankenstrike's placeholder name "Benvicktor" was assigned to him by the credits for Be Afraid of the Dark and toys during the original series. Therefore, Frankenstrike is one of the four aliens whose working name had Ben's name in it, the other three being Blitzwolfer, Snare-oh, and Nanomech.
  • In Omniverse, the name "Benvicktor" was replaced with Frankenstrike. In fact, Ben came up with Frankenstrike's name when he was 11 years old.
• In the original series, Frankenstrike was considered to be Ben's second smartest alien. As such, he was credited as one of the aliens Ben 10,000 used to build Ken's Omnitrix. This was retconned in Omniverse, as hyper-intelligence is not a common trait among Transylians. Therefore, Ben does not become any smarter as Frankenstrike.
• Despite all of his electrokinetic abilities, Derrick J. Wyatt states that Frankenstrike cannot absorb electricity.
• From Arc 4 of Omniverse onward, Frankenstrike replaces Gravattack in the opening intro of the show. He also replaces Shocksquatch in the opening intro of Arc 5.
• When Frankenstrike finishes his transformation, he often slams his forearms together in a manner reminiscent to Hanna-Barbera's Frankenstein Jr.
• Similar to Arctiguana, Snare-oh, Murk Upchuck, and Buzzshock, Frankenstrike appeared in Omniverse, but he did not appear in A New Dawn.
• Frankenstrike is one of five aliens featured in Omniverse who generate green electricity; the others being Upgrade, Buzzshock, Brainstorm, and Nanomech.
  • Unlike the others, however, Frankenstrike's bio-electricity discharge is naturally colored green for other Transylians.
• Frankenstrike was considered to appear in the reboot but did not make the cut as an electric alien for Ben because Shock Rock was created for plot purposes.
