Herbert J. Zomboni,[2] better known as Zombozo, is a cruel and creepy clown mastermind.
Appearance[]
Regular Appearance[]
Zombozo is a rather rotund man dressed like a ringmaster. He has pale white skin, pointed teeth, thick red lips, and orange cat-eyes with yellow irises. He is largely bald, although he retains a lot of pink hair on the back of his head, which sprouts out from both sides. He wears a black, bulbous nose. His usual outfit is mostly black-and-grey in color. He has large, striped, puffy pants, a grey button-up shirt, and a dark grey coat with brighter sleeves. His shows are black, as are his gloves, jagged collar, and top hat. On his hat and sleeves are shiny blue orbs.
Occasional Appearances[]
In Vote Zombozo, Zombozo wore an outfit near-identical to his usual one, although its palette was now that of the American flag.
In Bomzobo Lives, Zombozo's Bomzobo disguise wore a black business suit with a blue tie. Instead of gloves, a fake nose, and a top hat, he wore a golden wristwatch and glasses with purple lenses. His hair also changed, now sporting a goatee and a ponytail.
In Super-Villain Team-Up, Zombozo was seen in a more desperate state. He had a stubble, and his hair was even more frazzled. His pants remained the same, although he now wore a black shirt, a patched-up grey coat with a purple squirting flower, and a striped blue and magenta tie. His hat was likewise in tatters.
Later in Super-Villain Team-Up, Zombozo donned a space outfit. It consisted of a grey top and striped pants. He wore black shoes with purple soles, a shiny blue hat with an antenna, and a belt with a blue buckle. He also had a pair of black gloves and a black collar, all which had blue trims. He wore a necklace which displayed a large purple "Z".
In Welcome to Zombozo-Zone!, Zombozo wore a jester-like outfit. He retained his pants, collar and gloves. However, he also wore a blue shirt with a belt, blue jester shoes, and a grey hood. He had blue sleeves, which were grey, as well as striped, at the shoulders. Atop his head we wore a golden crown, and two floppy blue-and-purple hats covering his hair.
In Cirque-Us, Zombozo wore a striped black-and-grey jumpsuit. He had a black collar with a blue trim that covered his shoulders. He had a circlet of blue orbs acting as a belt, which also ran down his purple sleeves. He once again wore blue jester-like shoes. He also wore his usual hat.
In My Bodyguard, Zombozo kept his normal outfit, but ditched his top hat for a chef hat. He also wore a white apron.
In Party Poopers, Zombozo wore an outfit similar to his usual one, although it was red-and-blue, with a white shirt. Instead of a top hat, he wore a carny hat, and his collar was rounded off. His hair was also curled.
In Players of the Lost Park, Zombozo's Zombozal disguise wore a lavender top with a dotted pink vest. He wore a striped pink-and-lavender turban, with a red feather adorning it. He had a fake grey mustache and beard, and styled his hair back.

Zombozo's defining trait is his manic glee.[KT 1] According to himself, the sound of human anguish is "music to [his] ears."[3] He has a penchant for hypnotizing people, although he also takes pleasure in inflicting misery through other means.[4]
Zombozo is extremely greedy, a trait which led to Acid Breath's physical health rapidly declining due to Zombozo failing to financially compensate him for his grunt work.[5]
Despite his many crimes, Zombozo still takes issue with stalking.[6]
History[]
Background[]
At some point, Zombozo became a baker. He was a caterer from 2012 to 2013, and an assistant baker from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, he became a cake decorator and won a regional cake competition. In 2017, he came in second place in a cake baking championship.[2]
Ben 10[]
In Clown College, Zombozo made his first appearance attempting to steal the people's wallets during a match whilst they were all hypnotized - until he was soon defeated by Cannonbolt.
In Zombozo-Land, Zombozo appeared again as the new owner of Adrena-World, where he used the relay towers and the hypno-tower (set up by the Circus Freaks) to hypnotize everyone yet again. However, he was defeated by Upgrade after having the latter reverse the tower's effects.
In Vote Zombozo, Zombozo appeared again with the Circus Freaks in Sleepytown, where he hypnotized the people into voting for his campaign - until the Circus Freaks ditched him and was soon defeated by Omni-Enhanced Cannonbolt.
In Bomzobo Lives, Zombozo posed as Bomzobo, Max Tennyson's "driving instructor" attempting to take away his driving license and get him imprisoned - until being taken away by the police himself once his plans failed.
In Super-Villain Team-Up, Zombozo allied with Vilgax in attempt to gain revenge on Ben, as well as also help Vilgax with his plan in world dominance through his expertise on hypntosm. However, after constantly getting on Vilgax's nerves, he was thrown out from his ship.
In Dreamtime, Zombozo used a machine in order to enter Ben's dreams and constantly haunt him, and soon Gwen and Max as well too - until they all took advantage of being in a dream to cause his machine to malfunction.
In Welcome to Zombozo-Zone!, Zombozo was seen having already hypnotized everyone into believing that he was King (as well as making everyone act as in the medieval times) in an attempt to impress the Forever Knight. However, his plans were soon foiled once again after Gwen and Max (and eventually Ben as Four Arms too) broke free of his hypnotism, with an unimpressed Forever Knight ditching him.
In Party Poopers, he is now working at a child's center in an arcade. Frightwig convinces him to get back in the villain game, despite his many failures. Zombozo goes around tormenting children. Frightwig tries to avoid Zombozo running into Ben. Soon, Zombozo runs into Ben, and is defeated. However, he isn't arrested, and escapes with Frightwig.
He briefly appears in Mock 10, on the Sonitrain. He leaves after seeing Ben, Kevin, and LaGrange.
Powers and Abilities[]
Equipment[]
Zombozo has utilized many different trinkets and weapons in order to hypnotize his victims. These include gas bombs,[7] a refitted Adrenaland ride dubbed the "Hypno-Tower",[8] screens,[5] a wristwatch, a machine, a staff,[9] a wand that could morph into a mace,[10] a ray gun,[6] an eye-like decoration,[11] a ceiling-mounted spiral that caused illusions,[12] a handheld hypno-disc,[3] speakers,[13] and a rear view mirror charm.[1] The majority of these tools have been destroyed, lost or confiscated.
Zombozo's clothing affords him many utilities. His entire outfit could inflate like a balloon, allowing him to absorb hits easily.[6] His gloves are made of rubber, allowing him to touch electricity without harming himself.[1] He could also launch fireworks from his top hat using a remote.[5] His space outfit had "parachute pants", which let him slow his descent in the air.[9]
Zombozo is proficient at wielding mallets.[8]
Zombozo utilized the Nightmare Machine, although it was destroyed.[4]
Zombozo has other goofy equipment befitting of his clown occupation. He used a gun that sprayed taffy, which could function as an adhesive.[7]
Zombozo drove around in a tiny clown car, which could dispense a seemingly-endless supply of banana peels.[7]
Zombozo had a giant missile, which would've launched from a float modelled after his head had Cannonbolt not destroyed it.[7]
Zombozo was equipped with rocket-skates, which allowed him to move around at high speeds. He also had a launcher that shot out a boxing glove capable of redirecting Omni-Enhanced Cannonbolt.[5]
Zombozo stored at least three pigeons in his vest, and kept a chain of silk cloths in his pocket, which he could use as a lasso.[6]
Zombozo once used cheap party store balloons to tie up Gwen.[1]

Etymology[]
Zombozo's name is an amalgam on the words Zombie and Bozo, who is a famous clown played by many actors.
Trivia[]
- Zombozo's reliance on hypnotism seems to take after Original Series villain Sublimino.
- Much like his Classic Continuity counterpart, this Zombozo shares some similarities with the Joker from Batman.
- Zombozo is voiced by John DiMaggio, who also voiced the Joker in the direct-to-video films Batman: Under the Red Hood and Death in the Family.
- Zombozo, Hex, and Steam Smythe are the only present-day villains to appear in every season of the Reboot.
- Both being monochromatic pointy-toothed cat-eyed "magicians", Hex and Zombozo have an odd-couple energy with Hex's snobby serious no-fun attitude and Zombobo's manic glee.[KT 1]
- Zombozo was slated to appear in The Hex Factor, where he would trick Hex into thinking that the magic club was a secret wizard society that snubbed him so he could rob them blind while they were distracted by Hex going nuclear.[KT 2]
- However, the episode was rewritten and Zombozo was removed because Kelly Turnbull could not add John DiMaggio to the voice cast just for a one-off gag at the beginning. Luckily, Zombozo was replaced with Steam Smythe because Roger Craig Smith was voicing Scottie Fang/Hal Kazam.[KT 3]
