Characters and/or events depicted in this article are retconned from the main continuity. |
This article is about Ben's Chronian transformation. You might have been looking for Eon, the villain. |
“ | Such power...trapped, held slave by a child. No longer. I am free! | ” |
– Eon's first words. |
Eon[pop-up 2] was the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Chronian from the planet Chronia, prior to the retcon. This transformation was a younger version of Eon that Ben was transformed into in Ben 10: Race Against Time.[note 1]
Appearance[]
Being a younger version of Eon, the transformation looks the same as normal Eon, minus the helmet, pale white skin, and bags underneath the eyes. The Omnitrix symbol is located on the right side of his stomach.
Powers and Abilities[]
Eon possesses chronokinesis, which gives him control over time itself; granted by the purple energy that his body emits. Eon channels the energy through his hands, from which he can influence the entire flow of time around him, or on a specific target; allowing him to rapidly age beings, even to dust. He can also project and shoot out that same energy from his hands as time rays, that accelerate or decelerate whatever they touch.[pop-up 3][1]
Eon possesses dynakinesis,[pop-up 4] which allows him to easily control energy. Using his power over energy, Eon is able to create force fields to trap his opponents.[1] Eon can also manipulate and control some technology using his dynakinesis, such as vehicles or clockwork gears.[pop-up 5][1]
Eon also possesses materiokinesis, allowing him to manipulate matter to create illusions and mirages. This enabled Eon's original counterpart to fake his death by making it appear that he was burned up by Heatblast. He can also use telekinesis.[1]
Eon possesses enhanced durability, as his original counterpart was able to withstand Diamondhead's projectile shards and endure Wildmutt's tackle.[1]
Eon is resistant to fire, as his original counterpart was able to withstand Heatblast's attacks.[1]
Eon is capable of using Cognitive Projection.[1]
Weaknesses[]
If the failsafe that prevents Ben from being in his alien forms for more than 10 minutes is deactivated, his original counterpart's personality will override his own.[pop-up 6][1]
Multiple leaps through time will cause Eon's body to become pale and weak.[2][1]
Eon is vulnerable to electricity.[1]
History[]
Race Against Time Timeline[]
- Eon first appeared in Ben 10: Race Against Time, when the original Eon forcefully inserted his own DNA into the Omnitrix transforming Ben into a copy of himself and took control of his mind. Young Eon activated the Hands of Armageddon before Gwen was able to snap Ben back to reality. After willingly reverting back, the transformation was subsequently locked.

- Eon was the second alien form that has managed to repress Ben's personality, the other being Ghostfreak.[pop-up 2][1]
- Duncan Rouleau believes that Eon still exists as a transformation for an alternate version of Ben in the Multiverse,[DR 1] thus implying that the Chronians do exist in specific universes.
- Duncan also believes that Ben could have had full control over Eon if the failsafe hadn't been deactivated.[DR 2]
Notes[]
- ↑ The Chronian transformation was retconned in Ben 10,000 Returns when Eon's backstory was revised into an alternate version of Ben.
