The Ener-Cell[1][2] was a containment device that was used in Bounty Ball.
Appearance[]
The Ener-Cell was a transparent sphere that surrounded the target. Its surface was made of an electrically-conductive gel.[3][2]
History[]
Ben 10[]
The Ener-Cell appeared in Bounty Ball, where Kraab captured Ben as Grey Matter within it. After evading the bounty hunters, Grey Matter deducted that he could free himself from the Ener-Cell using the force of Kraab's claw, which dispersed it, allowing Grey Matter to revert back to Ben.
Features[]
The Ener-Cell was a sphere fired from a launcher that enveloped the target. It prevented Grey Matter from reverting back to Ben.
Disadvantages[]
If enough stress was placed on the Ener-Cell's structure, then the electricity keeping the sphere's shape would disperse, collapsing the Ener-Cell.[3][2]
Appearances[]
Ben 10[]
Season 2[]
- Bounty Ball (first appearance; destroyed)
Etymology[]
Ener-Cell is a portmanteau of "energy" and "cell".
