Lord Decibel traps Team Tennyson at a CD swap meet and demands a ransom; Ben and Gwen find Kevin on a potentially nefarious quest of his own, but it turns out that Lord Decibel may have already found the item that they so desperately desire.[ATV 1][revised]

At a swap meet, Max introduces Ben and Gwen to CDs. Max tries to convince his grandchildren that CDs are cool, but they are ultimately unimpressed. Ben and Gwen leave Max, deciding to stick to their newer technology, but soon run into Kevin. Unusually, however, Kevin apologizes for being run into, and tells them to go ahead of him. He then turns around to face them, revealing himself to be severely sleep-deprived. Ben doesn't believe whatever it is Kevin is doing, speculating something else is afoot.
Lord Decibel returns
Kevin tells Ben he's just looking for a CD, and leaves to check out some nearby. Ben follows him, asking if the CD is an audiobook for world domination. Max then intervenes, saying "Audiobook for World Domination" is a great album. He shows off his own album, appropriately titled that. He says it's great Ben and Kevin are bonding over CDs, which Ben denies, chucking Max's album. It's caught in a purple tractor beam and retrieved by Lord Decibel, who thanks him. Lord Decibel then fires sound waves from his speakers resting on his platform. Ben confirms his prior suspicions and transforms into Humungousaur.
Humugousaur accuses Lord Decibel of teaming up with Kevin as they fight, but Lord Decibel both denies it and gains the upper hand. Lord Decibel shows of his barrier made out of pure sound, which Humungousaur fails to break. Gwen suggests they retreat and make a plan, which Ben agrees with. Lord Decibel, however, activates his barrier, trapping them and others. Lord Decibel speaks to the strengths of CDs compared to mp3s, which Max agrees with, much to Ben's dismay. He then plays Max's DJ G-Pa CD, which somehow forces Max to dance to it. Lord Decibel then demonstrates the same power on some hipsters with a different CD, followed by a dog (who's the only one who could hear it). He continues to gloat, and tries to make Ben and Gwen dance. However, his plan goes awry when it doesn't work on them. He realizes he needs a CD kids listen to, which Ben links back to Kevin's plan. Kevin then announces he's found it, and Ben transforms into Shock Rock, tackling him.
Lord Decibel believes that CD is the one he needs, and tries to take it, which Shock Rock prevents with an electric shield while Kevin escapes. He then runs into Lord Decibel's barrier, bouncing back. Kevin suggests to Shock Rock that they skip fighting each other and help each other out. Shock Rock knocks Lord Decibel off of his platform and asks Kevin why he's being so weird. He picks up the CD and threatens to destroy it. Kevin retaliates by transforming into Hot Shot, and tackling Shock Rock to the ground. Lord Decibel tries to snatch the CD, but has Hot Shot thrown into him by Shock Rock. The three continue to fight, and while Shock Rock and Lord Decibel are distracted, Hot Shot uses oven mitts to retrieve it off of the ground. Gwen and Max decide to help out, with the former going to get the CD, while Max destroys Lord Decibel's disks.
Bashmouth helps out Slapback
Max crawls underneath Lord Decibel's now-upside-down setup, and uses his key to scratch a disk. Meanwhile, Shock Rock knocks the CD out of Hot Shot's hands, which Gwen then nabs. Lord Decibel then appears before her, and she tells him to get away from her. Max overhears her, and comes to her aid. Shock Rock and Hot Shot simultaneously time out, and Ben asks what his end goal is. Kevin reveals he hasn't slept in six days, and needs the CD to help him sleep. Ben apologizes for not listening earlier, and theirwatches time back in. Ben and Kevin transform into Slapback and Bashmouth respectively, though Slapback needs Bashmouth's help to turn into Omni-Kix Slapback.
Max tells Lord Decibel it's over, as his flying machine is destroyed. Lord Decibel soon proves him wrong, though, as it is easily reactivated. Omni-Kix Slapback and Bashmouth then appear, and Bashmouth fends off the sound waves with his roar. Gwen tries to suggest a plan, but Bashmouth vetoes it, being too tired. Omni-Kix Slapback instructs Bashmouth to hit his back, which doubles him. With Bashmouth's roars protecting them, the two Omni-Kix Slapbacks make it closer to Lord Decibel. In response, he changes the frequency, which turns his sounds into lasers. One of the Omni-Kix Slapbacks blocks it, and the other supports him, turning them into four. However, it is too much, and they briefly explode into multiple Omni-Kix Slapbacks before re-converging into four. Lord Decibel then takes the CD from Gwen, and plays it.
Audio of a man speaking in a fatherly manner then begins to play, telling it's listeners how proud he is of them. Gwen explains to Max that the audio is ASMR, which helps people relax and even sleep. They look at Bashmouth, who has fallen asleep. The Omni-Kix Slapbacks take their opportunity to strike, and destroy Lord Decibel's machine by exploding again, destroying his barrier. Nearby, a police officer explains to another that since Ben is here, a villain is bound to be there to arrest. Lord Decibel then falls to the ground. With his visor shattered, he feels around, and finds the police car, believing it to an escape vehicle. The Omni-Kix Slapbacks celebrate their victory before timing out. Ben suggests to Gwen they give CDs a chance, and Max rocks a sleeping Kevin back and forth in his arms.
When Ben transforms into Shock Rock and tells Kevin to hand over his CD, his mouth does not open.
The Omni-Kix Slapback doubles retain their size when turning into quarters.
Impact craters are already made in the ground before the Omni-Kix Slapbacks hit it.

Trivia[]
It is revealed that Slapback cannot reach his back to turn the Omnitrix dial sideways in his normal form to activate his Omni-Kix form. Therefore, he is required to seek help from others to activate his Omni-Kix form.
