Ben 10 Alien Swarm vs. Dude, What Would Happen is Season 2, Episode 3 of Destroy Build Destroy. It was made to promote Ben 10: Alien Swarm, which aired a week later.

Plot[]

The episode begins as host Andrew W.K. introduces the show: a competition where two teams destroy stuff, and build machines out of the wreckage to compete with, and the loser gets their machine destroyed.

Team Ben 10 is comprised of Ryan Kelley, Galadriel Stineman, and Nathan Keyes, the lead actors from Ben 10: Alien Swarm. Kelley jokes that the Dudes are probably banking on the fact that Team Ben 10 is more used to working on set.

Team Dude is comprised of Jackson Rogow, Ali Sepasyar, and C.J. Manigo from fellow CN Real series Dude, What Would Happen. C.J. says that he's gonna try and keep the other guys in line to beat the Ben 10 team.

After properly introducing the teams, Andrew W.K. announces that the challenge is called "Paddle Battle", the two teams are going to be building paddle boats, to carry large inflatable balls over a pond to spell out either "BEN 10" or "DUDE" in what the host describes as "one of the weirdest, craziest challenges we've ever come up with".

But the teams need things to build with, so Andrew brings up the time that the Dudes made a fish tank out of a red VW Bug. They've filled a red VW Bug with water and explosives, and that's what Team Dude is going to build with. Over on Ben 10's side, Andrew asks Nathan about the car in the movie. Nathan says that it's priceless, which Andrew then jokes is why Cartoon Network wouldn't let him go anywhere near it. To improvise, another V.W. bug, painted green with black stripes, is hoisted over a cliff with a crane. That's what Team Ben 10's going to build with.

Galadriel presses the plunger to blow up the Dude's car, Ali describes the result as a "Flade", or a "Flaming Flood". On the opposite end, the dudes count it down, and the crane drops Team Ben 10's car down the cliff. It rolls down with pieces flying everywhere. Andrew gets ready to send the two teams off to start building with the wreckage and any other random stuff they threw in, as well as introducing the build team people that can help them out. Andrew also brings up that the teams have the chance to be the first "Cartoon Network Destroy Build Destroy Champion", signified by a Golden Sledgehammer, as well as destroying the losing team's boat.

Team Dude doesn't even wait for Andrew to count it off, they give themselves a head start. The two teams then start exploring the wreckages looking for parts they can use to build their boats. Team Ben 10 starts going for the obvious: things that can float, like the large pieces of plywood, foam pieces, the car doors and hood. Team Dude sort of struggles as Ali just wants to pick up every bit of the debris as the others get annoyed with him. C.J. especially, claiming that the others "aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer".

The dudes are at their drawing board when Team Ben 10 walks over. Thinking that they're trying to spy on them, Jackson spray-paints over the sketches before realizing that might've been a mistake. Over at the Ben 10 table, Jackson runs over and spray-paints on their plans too. Jackson claims that his own plan is trying to distract Team Ben 10 by being annoying, butting into one of Galadriel's moments and attempting an "updog" joke, which she plays along with just to get him to leave.

After the break, the two teams are building when Andrew calls both teams in for a Setback Challenge. The challenge is to throw hammers at a bunch of TVs with different numbers on them, highest scoring team gets to inflict some damage on the other team's vehicle. There are also point multipliers of X1, X2, and X3 based on how far you are from the stack of TVs. If absolutely desperate for points, Andrew mentions attempting for the "Hail Mary Line", which offers a multiplier of X10. Jackson goes first and misses over the top, Galadriel tries and falls short on her first one.

C.J. makes the first actual hit, scoring 5 points for Team Dude. Nathan goes up next and just barely misses from the second line. Ali scores 10 more points for Team Dude by hitting a 5 point from the second line. Ryan brings Team Ben 10 up from the rear by hitting a 5 point TV from the Hail Mary Line, scoring 50 points for his team. Jackson takes the next shot and goes for the Hail Mary, and also scores 50 points, bringing the totals to 65 for the Dudes, 50 for Ben 10.

Galadriel tries again and completely fumbles the throw, almost stumbling over in the process. C.J. goes for the second line and hits a 10 point marker, scoring 20 more for Team Dude. Nathan goes up, and hits a 5 point from the second line, adding another 10 points to Team Ben 10. Ali takes the last throw for the Dudes and goes for another Hail Mary and misses. Ryan also goes for a Hail Mary to try and save the game, but it falls short. Ending on 60 points for Team Ben 10, and 85 points for Team Dude.

With the Dudes winning, they're given a choice of two setbacks: a Bubble Avalanche, where an industrial size bubble machine covers their boat and makes it a soapy mess. The other option is Ship Wrecked, where the Ben 10 team and their builders are put on a boat into the pond with no paddles and they have to figure out how to get back out. The dudes opt to choose the bubbles because they don't want anyone drowning on their hands. The Dudes start goofing off once the machine starts. Galadriel mentions that it took them a while to clean up.

The next day, the teams are working on both of their builds again. The dudes put Ali up to a bit of spying by having him wear a welder's mask and "BUILD" shirt, which the others quickly catch on to. Kelley thinks it's annoying, but useful since they aren't working on their own boat. Andrew announces that they only have 10 minutes left before the challenge starts. Ali claims that Team Ben 10's boat is going to fail because it's rather large with only a small paddle, while the Dudes' boat is the opposite.

After calling an end to the challenge, Andrew describes the challenge proper. There are eight inflatable balls hung over this pond in a scrambled order, that spell out "DUDE" or "BEN10", the first team to spell their word will win. Shortly after Andrew says "Go!", both teams arrive at their first ball. Team Ben 10 gets a "B", while Team Dude gets an "E", both useable. Team Dude tries to push the ball out of Ben 10's holder, but ends up assisting Galadriel in getting it to shore by mistake. Team Ben 10 quickly gets to the "N" while Team Dude gets the "U". Both teams get their letters in place, but Team Dude accidentally leaves Jackson on the dock. He attempts to hitch a ride on Ben 10's boat, but they kick him out.

Galadriel goes for the nearest ball, but it's a "D". Meanwhile the rudder on the Dudes' boat breaks. Team Ben 10 locates the "10" ball. The Dudes are brute-forcing their boat to move. Team Ben 10 has three of their letters, and are quickly collecting the fourth, the "E". Jackson chooses to jump into the water to drag Team Dude's third letter to shore, and quickly swims to try and reach the fourth. Ultimately, Team Ben 10 wins the game. However, as an act of good sportsmanship, Ryan gives Team Dude the Golden Sledgehammer. Both teams share a group hug. Finally, Andrew W.K. unveils a remote control toy boat rigged with explosives, that Team Ben 10 sets off to destroy the Dudes' boat.
