Sergeants Iron Lance and Cookmeister both contact Ben Tennyson because their planet is about to be invaded by the Incurseans. They reach out at the same time, but each is unaware of the other’s call. Ben receives the alert while transformed as Upchuck. After returning to normal, he tells Rook they need to travel to planet Gourmand immediately — something urgent is happening.
A group of Perks and Murks are already attacking the Incurseans. Meanwhile, Iron Lance and Cookmeister argue about what action to take. The Murks (led by Iron Lance) believe they must infiltrate the Incursean Dreadnought, where the Gourmand Queen is being held, rescue her, and then activate Plan Omega. The Perks (led by Cookmeister), argue they should stay on the planet to defend it — and if necessary, execute Plan Omega without the Queen’s consent. A Gourmand Murk named Private Brown Bag brings Ben and Rook to the site of the debate, where they find the Perks and Murks fighting. Ben (in both Upchuck forms) listens to both sides and sides with Iron Lance, while Rook backs Cookmeister. They split up and go with their respective groups.
Ben, Cookmeister, and the Murks head to the Incursean Dreadnought and begin causing chaos. They soon find the Queen — but also encounter Attea, who threatens to kill the Queen unless they fight her.
They defeat more Incurseans and head toward Peptos, but Attea climbs onto the truck’s roof and sneaks aboard. She causes the Queen to fall, and Iron Lance tries to drag Attea down with her. Rook, along with Perks and Murks, manages to save the Queen from a deadly fall, while Iron Lance and Water Hazard take down Attea. With the Queen safe, Iron Lance and Cookmeister begin arguing again, and both factions nearly come to blows. The Queen calms them and orders Plan Omega to proceed — leaving the Incurseans with no planet to conquer. In the end, she and the Gourmands relocate to a new world.
