- The way he had captured ships trapped in bottles is similar to Blackbeard from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
- According to Matt Wayne, the predator of Piscciss Volanns is Captain Kork.[MW 1] However, according to Derrick J. Wyatt, he is not, as he is not from Piscciss[DJW 1] and hasn't even eaten a single Pisciss Volann yet.[DJW 2]
