Buddy Buddanski was a scientist and futurist who built the Buddy Bungalow and the M.F.B.

Buddy was a man with a squared head, black hair with a grey streak, and a handlebar mustache. He wore black glasses with circular lenses.

Max described Buddy as a genius, and someone who brought hope to millions.[1]

In the 1930's, Buddy built the Buddy Bungalow to show artists, scientists and politicians his vision of the future.
At some point, the U.S. army asked Buddy if he could bring fun to the men and women defending the country. In response, Buddy built the Mobile Fun Base (abbreviated to M.F.B.), a mech with Ferris wheel-like mechanisms. Ultimately, the army decided to build tanks and bombs instead. Regardless, Buddy built the M.F.B., hoping that one day, someone would use it to bring hope to those who need it most.

In Tomorrow Today, Team Tennyson visited the dilapidated Buddy Bungalow, where they were met with a hologram of Buddy. He gave Max and Gwen a tour of the bungalow.
After Steam Smythe activated the M.F.B., he was met by the same hologram, which explained the true purpose of the M.F.B., it being a machine meant to bring people fun and hope.
