In Pet Project, Ben watched Brain Stealers From Outer Space, having lied to Julie that he was doing homework. The movie features an evil scientist mind controlling a teenager to attack his girlfriend.
Later, when the trio and Julie were at Lancelot Lake Estates, Julie helped Ship regain his consciousness and freed him from Dr. Chadwick's mind control. Swampfire asked Julie how she did it, she responded "You're not the only one who's seen Brain Stealers from Outer Space.".
