As is the case with everything. Is it possible to lock sections of pages from editing?
I think perhaps only admins should have control of the quote for each character; their status indicates they have comprehensive understanding of the subject matter so it'd be a safe bet to assume they'd be capable of it.
That sort of seems like mild circular reasoning. What would the quotes themselves show? Because if someone enters a wiki and sees quotes like what you're suggesting, they're not going to think "Wow, this wiki is so sophisticated because they somehow were able to avoid quarelling and come up with quotes that fit this character!"
Though I do agree that only admins should choose.

Your arguments make sense.

I never considered that a viewer would think that the wiki was diplomatic enough to choose a quote, but you're right. That IS another benefit.
Also using quotes gives the reader in immediate impression of what thie character is like. Whethe they're an hero or a villain, that sort of thing. Also, would Omnitrix heroes have quotes, because they'd basically be Ben's quotes at the same time.
Omnitrix heroes would have quotes specific to them.
eg: Eye Guy may have an eye pun he made, Big Chill an Ice pun.
Quotes are to get a quick summary of the character. Yes, it helps the wiki look sophisticated in the process but this is what it's mostly about, the summary I mean.
Voting has ended. The final score is:
The suggestion was barely approved. The next step is for those who approved it to get together and decide who, out of the entire wiki, will pick these quotes (assuming they accept the responsibility) and how the quotes will be picked.
