Big Bug is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Lepidopterran[1][2] from the planet Lepidopterra[merch 1] and the Dimension 23 equivalent of Stinkfly.

Appearance[]

Big Bug looks identical to Stinkfly in Omniverse except his skin is light purple, his wings are white, and his pupils are light blue, and his outfit is blue and black with dark blue highlights on the black parts. The Hero Watch symbol on his forehead is blue with a golden rim.

Slime Projection/Flight

Big Bug's primary ability is to squirt high-pressured streams of green, slimy liquid from the glands located inside of his eyestalks and mouth. This slime is strong enough to hold a helicopter[3] and hold down a Crabdozer.[4] Big Bug is capable of utilizing his slime in a number of useful capacities, such as ensnaring his opponents,[2] or blasting a stream of it out of his mouth, solid enough to pull himself upwards like a makeshift grappling hook.[5]

Big Bug can produce slime of differing properties, and he can instinctively choose which type of slime to expel.[MW 1] Examples include an immobilizing adhesive[6][7] and a flammable toxin.[8]

Big Bug possesses two dragon-shaped insectoid wings that allow quick and agile flying and can change directions at exceptional paces.

Big Bug's black tail is extremely sharp with a stinger-like end that can tear and rend through steel almost effortlessly.[6] His tail is an ultra sensitive receptor, making it like an antenna.[pop-up 1][9] Big Bug's claws and sharp-pointed legs allow him to cling onto solid surfaces.[10]

Big Bug has great strength in proportion to his body, as Stinkfly was able to carry heavy loads while maintaining steady flight.[11] His carrying power comes to its limit when holding something very heavy, shown when Stinkfly could keep flying while Vilgax was holding onto him.[12]

Big Bug's exoskeletal body is fairly strong, allowing him to survive unscathed while being smashed through buildings and being caught inside a large explosion.[12]

Big Bug has enhanced hearing, as Stinkfly was able to hear a conversation over the sound of a helicopter while both he and it were flying.[13]

The flexible nature of Big Bug's eyestalks give him 360-degree vision, as he is able to move two eyes at the back of his head and keep the other two eyes at the front of his head.[10]

Big Bug is accompanied by a natural odor-like stink that comes from the oils he secretes to keep his exoskeleton joints moving.[pop-up 2][14]

Big Bug is capable of releasing toxic gas and methane gas,[DR 1] the former of which was used by Stinkfly to kill plant-like creatures.[15]

Weaknesses[]

An opponent could take advantage of Big Bug's wings, as if they are held down, Big Bug is unable to fly.[12][16] If his wings get completely soaked in water, they become limp and heavy and he'll be completely incapable of flight until they dry off.[5][17]

Big Bug is unable to swim due to his unbalanced body weight and thin limbs.[17]

Big Bug can be tied in place by his tail.[18]

A more minor inconvenience is Big Bug's odor, which can be a problem if he is trying to hide from anything or anyone that can smell.[2]

Being a Lepidopterran, Big Bug is at a massive disadvantage against a Buglizard due to its slime neutralizing fog.[4][19]

Big Bug is vulnerable against electricity, as shown when Stinkfly was shocked while trying to attack Phil as Terroranchula.[19] Big Bug is also vulnerable to strong winds.[20]

Big Bug is implied to be vulnerable to fire, as shown when Stinkfly backed away from a growing fire.[6]
