As with every character from Goodbye and Good Riddance, this version of Ben Tennyson's history is identical to his canon counterpart up until the tail end of the Original Series' chronology.
After foiling a heist aboard an airship, Max told Ben and Gwen that summer was over and that it was time to head back to Bellwood for the school year, much to Ben's dismay. Ben returned home first, where he greeted his parents and said his goodbyes to Gwen and Max. Before leaving, Max told Ben to keep the use of the Omnitrix on the down-low for the time being, much to Ben's disappointment, as he had hoped to continue fighting crime in Bellwood.
After getting settled back in at home, Ben used XLR8 to perform various chores quickly. However, he was still disappointed about the road trip coming to an end.
At school, Ben's reputation as a loser caught up to him, as he was repeatedly shunned and unable to tell anyone his secret. Things soon came to a head when drones attacked Ben during his gym class. He defeated them with the aid of Max but returned home to find Vilgax holding his father hostage.
