Opening

The openings of seasons 1-4 showed all 10 of Ben's current aliens posing next to a number. At the end of each opening, Team Tennyson do some sort of interaction with eachother.

Ben 10,010

The opening showed the majority of Ben's enemies, along with his current aliens at the time.

Ben Gen 10

The opening showed Team Tennyson traveling around the world in the Rustbucket, while Ben cycles through all of his aliens.

Alien X-Tinction

The opening showed Ben showcasing all 10 of his current aliens, aside Max and Gwen. Towards the end, the silhouettes of Original Series Ben, Alien Force Ben, Ultimate Alien Ben, and Omniverse Ben are shown in their respective series order.

Errors

  • In Season 1-4 intro, when Ben transforms into Four Arms, the core of Omnitrix doesn't pop up.
  • In Ben 10,010 Intro, when Slapback switches to Humungousaur, Humungousaur only has one spike.

Trivia

  • This is the longest running Ben 10 series, having produced 184 episodes and airing for 4.5 years.
  • Unlike previous iterations of Ben 10, this series' episodes have a run-time of 11 minutes each instead of 22 minutes; episodes which are 22 minutes in production are broken into two segments. This decision was done by Cartoon Network so they can mix and match episodes. It also works better for comedy.[DR 1]
    • Season 5 consisted of 3 movie-length specials, each of them had a 44-minute runtime, which is the equivalent to 4 normal 11-minute episodes.
  • Where as the the look of the Omnitrix changed with each Classic series, the Omnitrix in this series changes its appearance every season. The out-of-universe reasons for the Omnitrix having a new appearance every season are to repurpose unused designs from pre-production, to differentiate one season from another, and for marketing purposes.[DR 2]
  • Another aspect of this series that differs from previous iterations is that Ben is only able to have 10 aliens at a time. The one time this rule was not kept (during the events of Omni-Tricked when Ben unlocked Gax), the Omnitrix began to glitch and freak out. Starting with Innervasion Part 5: High Override, aliens are now added and removed from rotation. However, this rule is no longer being used as of Ben 10,010.[DR 3]
    • The crew has been been moving through the aliens they felt were at Ben's core because they are his favorite go to characters across the life of the entire show.[DR 4] They also like to keep the title of 10 being consistent.[DR 5]
    • The addition and removal of certain aliens is also based on what type of stories they want to tell in the new season, then which aliens would work best with those stories and which would not.[DR 6]
    • When asked why Ben would have three different aliens with enhanced strength as a main ability in his roster starting with Season 3, Duncan Rouleau stated that their working philosophy is not about the perfect well-rounded team as much as working with what you got. Until Ben has mastery over the Omnitrix, he will get all sorts of odd, sometimes lopsided, lineups.[DR 7]
  • In addition to being composed of specials, Duncan described Season 5 as being "celestial"[DR 8] and "large in scale" with having some guest stars as voice actors.[DR 9]
    • Duncan personally confirmed Vic Chao as one of the aforementioned guests stars and avoiding spoiling which character Chao would be voicing.[DR 10]
  • The premises for each special came when Cartoon Network executives Tramm Wigzell and Keith Fay asked Man of Action to "pitch [them] the craziest stories [they] could never do". Though they were credited only with "story" on these specials, Anthony J. Marchisello and Marcus Reinhart actually wrote full scripts for each special from the story pitches Man of Action provided.[STS 1]
  • Duncan is unsure of what the future of the franchise will hold following Alien X-Tinction,[DR 11] noting that changes at WarnerMedia have put things on pause.[DR 12] These include:
  • Many aliens from previous series were initially considered to appear in the reboot at different points of development only to be excluded:
  • Sometimes, ideas such as Forever Knight being sentient technology were left ambiguous in case Man of Action came up with a better idea later and wanted to change the direction.[KT 1]
  • This is the second Cartoon Network reboot series after The Powerpuff Girls (2016).
  • Duncan Rouleau has occasionally brought up the possibility of a new iteration of Ben 10 starting with some new angle,[DR 32] saying that there is always a chance it could happen.[DR 33]
    • The crew is currently developing many options; the changing fields of platforms from cable to streaming, the consolidation of Warner Bros. franchises, and a "thousand other factors" will determine where, how, and when Ben's next iteration will finally settle.[DR 34] An example of this is the possibility of a show featuring an older Ben at some point. However, that will not be happening any time soon.[DR 35]
    • The crew is currently in talks with Cartoon Network, who have some strong ideas about the future of Ben 10[DR 36] that they are working on. Announcements were planned sometime in late 2021,[DR 37] but Rouleau later rescinded this statement.[DR 38]
  • Unlike the previous series, Playmates is now handling the toys instead of Bandai.
  • The show's soundtrack is composed by Kevin Manthei, who has previously composed music for Man of Action's two previous shows Generator Rex and Ultimate Spider-Man.
  • Upgraded forms only appeared in even numbered seasons.
  • This is the second series to show Ben Prime's Omnitrixies.
  • This series features the longest season in the franchise, with season 3 being comprised of 52 episodes. This series also featured the shortest season in the franchise, with Season 5 being comprised of 3 specials.
  • Before the official logo was revealed, the 2016 official Cartoon Network Calendar used the logo for Ben 10: Omniverse.
