Arachnachimps[1][script 1][2] (alternatively spelled as Arachnichimps),[AF VG 1][Bandai 1] informally shortened to chimps,[3][2] also known as Arachna-Paniscus,[guide 1] are a species from the planet Aranhascimmia.[2]
Their evolved counterparts are Evolved Arachnachimps.
Appearance[]
Arachnachimps are blue colored, monkey-like aliens with four arms, four or six eyes, and two legs. They also have three fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot, blue fur over a dark blue center, and a tail with some striped fur.
In Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, Arachnachimps had two sets of eyes. The top 2 were smaller than the bottom 2; they were yellow with black pupils; and infant Arachnachimps had even larger lower eyes than normal.
In Omniverse, Arachnachimps now have six eyes, arranged in one grouping of 3 on both sides of the face, that are pure black. Their nostrils are also located higher on their face.
Dimension 23's Arachnachimps possess white fur and bluish-grey skin.
Like humans, Arachnachimps can have different styles of head hair.
Behavior[]
Arachnachimps are reputedly the most delicious creature on Aranhascimmia, and are constantly hunted by predators such as Root Sharks. This forces them to always be on guard and take refuge in the treetops.[4][2] In response to this constant danger, Arachnachimps live nomadically; quickly spinning impressively intricate webs to create temporary shelters among the high branches, before inevitably having to abandon them and move on.[AF VG 1]
Reproduction[]
Arachnachimps are marsupial beings.[Bandai 1] Males and females mate and carry their children with them, nurturing them after their birth.[2]
Powers and Abilities[]
Arachnachimps have the ability to expel webbing using a silk as strong as steel cable from their tails.[AF Mini Bible 1][Bandai 1][AF VG 1] Their webbing is very sticky, meaning they can use it to trap opponents or blind them by shooting webbing in their face. Arachnachimps can also shape their webs into slings to swing across vast distances.[5][6]
Arachnachimps can use their webbing to create web constructs, such as a web slingshot,[7] and a web net.[8]
Arachnachimps have enhanced strength, as Spidermonkey was capable of using a lamp post to hit Ultimate Kevin up a few feet,[9] carry Queen Voratia Rumbletum over his back,[10] and carry No Watch Ben while web-slinging without any difficulty.[6]
Arachnachimps are very durable considering their size, as shown when Spidermonkey was able to survive seemingly unharmed after several large pieces of concrete fell on him.[11][12]
Arachnachimps can jump high in the air and have enhanced reflexes, as shown when Spidermonkey avoided Thunderpig's energy flail.[13]
Arachnachimps have enhanced agility and enhanced acrobatic skills.[14]
Arachnachimps have hearing superior to a human's, as Simian could hear Gwen and Kevin talking about him from several feet away.[1]
An Arachnachimp's paws can stick to and be used to scale vertical surfaces like a spider.[AF Mini Bible 1][Bandai 1]
An Arachnachimp's feet and tail are both prehensile, enabling them to hold and carry multiple objects as if they are extra hands.[15]
Arachnachimps can assume a bipedal stance for short periods of time, as shown when Spidermonkey stood on two legs after hitting Ultimate Kevin.[9]
Weaknesses[]
An Arachnachimp's webs can be torn apart by species with as much or more strength than a Cerebrocrustacean.[11]
An Arachnachimp can get tangled by their own webs.[7] [16] Furthermore, enemies can easily use an Arachnachimp's webs to their advantage.[17]
An Arachnachimp's webs can be frozen and made brittle by the ice breath of a Polar Manzardill.[18] They can also be dissolved by heat generated by a Crystalsapien.[19]
Arachnachimps are a target to all the predatory species of Aranhascimmia, such as Root Sharks.[2]
Arachnachimps are vulnerable to electricity, as demonstrated with Simian.[1][2]
Arachnachimps are vulnerable to strong winds, such as a tornado generated from a Geochelone Aerios.[2]
An Arachnachimp can be rendered unconscious if hit by a quill from a member of Argit's species, as demonstrated with Simian.[20]
Arachnachimps can be trapped within slime, as shown when Goop ensnared Simian inside of him.[1]

Etymology[]
Arachnachimp is made of up two words: "arachnid" and "chimpanzee", referencing their spider abilities and appearance respectively.
Arachna-Paniscus is once again derived from "arachnid", as well as "Pan paniscus", an endangered species of great ape better known as the Bonobo.
