In The Eggman Cometh, Natalie called Gwen and said she saw a pterodactyl in the house when she was baking. Gwen, along with Ben and Kevin, went to the house. Ben used Clockwork to view the past and discovered the pterodactyl emerged from the egg Natalie was using, which was produced by Animo Farms, where Dr. Animo was raising the same pterodactyls. Later, following an encounter with pterodactyls at Ben's house, the team went to Animo Farms to investigate. They broke into a barn after Ben transformed into Humungousaur and discovered a secret lab with a machine that Animo used to put the pterodactyls into the eggs and a computer that had all of his plans. They used it to discover that Animo was planning to sabotage an experiment that was supposed to end global warming (which was going to happen that night), which would hurt his pterodactyls because they're cold-blooded. They quickly left, but unknown to them, a pterodactyl (the same one who hatched in the beginning) picked up a phone and alerted Animo.
Later, while the team battled pterodactyls at Monongahela Foundry, Animo told the pterodactyl that he promised to make him ruler when the pterodactyls take over the Earth. The leader said he deserves a name which Animo tried to decide before the team broke in. Animo used some of his eggs to hatch more fully-grown pterodactyls that Gwen and Kevin battled, while Ben used Juryrigg to disable the ray, but went on a rampage and tore it to shreds. After Gwen and Kevin beat the pterodactyls, they threatened Animo to tell them how to reverse the ray's effects. Animo said that changing the polarity of the ray would evolve the pterodactyls into birds, just like the dinosaurs, but Ben had already destroyed the ray as Juryrigg. Luckily, Gwen figured out breaking things isn't Juryrigg's only power and so Ben once again became Juryrigg to repair the broken ray and changed its polarity.
