Ampfibian is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of an Amperi from the planet Tesslos[AP 1] in the Andromeda Galaxy.
Appearance[]
Ampfibian is a blue jellyfish-like alien with white swipes on his body resembling lightning streaks, a main body with three-segmented skirt-like parts for his head, chest and abdomen, and six long tentacles that function as two pairs of arms and a pair of legs.
In Ultimate Alien, Ampfibian had pupil-less eyes and wore the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest. His eyes were colored blue in Fused due to being fused with Ra'ad, but were changed to green for the rest of his appearances.
In Heroes United, Ampfibian looked mostly the same as in Ultimate Alien except most of the white swipes on his body were missing while the ones that remained were slightly darker and shaped differently.
In Omniverse, Ampfibian looks almost the same as before, except the lightning streak swipes on his body have been altered, his tentacles are now pointed instead of curved, and his green eyes are larger with the black outlining in them becoming much more prominent. He wears the Omnitrix symbol on his mouth.
Powers and Abilities[]
Ampfibian can manipulate and produce electricity that is able to stun, paralyze, or kill.[AP 1] Ampfibian is also able to absorb electrical energy such as lightning and the Piscciss Volann guards' energy nets. That energy then can be launched out of his tentacles as attacks.[2] Ampfibian is also able to use his electrokinesis to telekinetically move objects, as demonstrated by Ra'ad.[3]
Ampfibian can generate a protective force field around himself; this feat was exclusively demonstrated by Ultimate Aggregor during his visit to the Perplexahedron.[4]
Similar to Upgrade and Buzzshock, Ampfibian can become pure energy in order to enter electrical cables and control technology. Ampfibian can also generate a large energy blast that surrounds him, as demonstrated by Ra'ad.[3]
Similar to Ghostfreak and Big Chill, Ampfibian can make himself intangible.[3] Correlating with this, he is capable of electrically shocking any objects and beings he phases through.[5]
Ampfibian can fly and is agile enough to dodge attacks while flying.[6]
Ampfibian's tentacles can extend multiple times their length.[7][6] Ampfibian also has some degree of enhanced strength, enough to restrain Phil with his tentacles.[8]
Due to being boneless, Ampfibian is able to squeeze through small and tight spaces.[DVD 1]
Ampfibian is durable enough to withstand being thrown against a wall by Solid Plugg[9] and getting hit by an Aerophibian's neuroshock blasts.[10]
Ampfibian can breathe underwater, as well as being able to swim at superhuman speeds. He can also safely produce and discharge electricity underwater.[DM 1][2]
Ampfibian can read the thoughts of other life forms by sensing the electrical pulses of their minds;[DM 2][DVD 2][AP 1] this feat was only demonstrated by Ra'ad.[3]
Weaknesses[]
Ampfibian is weak against enemies who can drain electricity, like Phil.[8] Furthermore, Ampfibian's electric attacks are useless against Solid Plugg[9] because he is made out of super dense rubber.[DJW 1]
Ampfibian can be harmed by an Aerophibian's neuroshock blasts.[10]
Despite being able to use his electricity underwater, Ampfibian can accidentally shock himself if he is entering or partially in water, as demonstrated with Ra'ad.[3]
Ampfibian's intangibility is useless against other beings that can also become intangible, as it will cancel out their abilities to do so.[11]
Ampfibian cannot survive in the vacuum of space as implied by Ra'ad.[12][13]

Ultimate Alien[]
- Ampfibian first appeared in Fused, where his DNA was sampled and put in the Codon Stream when the Ultimatrix scanned Ra'ad's DNA. Ben remained stuck as Ampfibian due to Ra'ad being trapped in the Ultimatrix until Kevin eventually put the Ultimatrix in Reset Mode.
- In Deep, Ampfibian swam to Piscciss' core, along with the team and Pyke.
- In Viktor: The Spoils, an unconscious Ampfibian's telepathic abilities were forcibly used to put King Xarion's mind in Dr. Viktor's body.[script 2]
- In Ben 10/Generator Rex: Heroes United, Ampfibian appeared as one of the many aliens when Ben was explaining his story to Rex.
- In Inspector 13, Kevin as Ampfibian battled several incomplete Techadon Robots.
- In Night of the Living Nightmare, Ampfibian defeated Ultimate Kevin in a dream.
Omniverse[]
- In Have I Got a Deal for You, Ampfibian electrocuted Pax, Blarney T. Hokestar, fought Solid Plugg and saved the Screegit.
- In Special Delivery, Ampfibian defeated Seebik and the Kraaho.
- In Rad, Ampfibian caught Pax.
- In Max's Monster, Ampfibian was defeated by Phil.
- In Return to Forever, Ampfibian tried to fight the Forever Knights, but was reverted by their DNA Scanner.

AmpFibian Nano in FusionFall
The Ampfibian Nano is a miniature version of Ampfibian that supports the player in FusionFall. It can be found in a containment unit within DexLabs along with the Flapjack and Sym-Bionic Titan Nanos.
On July 27, 2011, Ampfibian was released (as the second form of the Unstable Nano) along with Rigby, Gumball, Chowder, Zak Saturday, Titan, and full Nano Johnny Test. On September 14, 2011, his full Nano was released along with the Rath Nano, and Van Kleiss (taking his place as the Unstable Nano).

Etymology[]
Ampfibian's name is a portmanteau of the words "amp(ere)" and "amphibian" (with the "ph" changed to a "pf"). It is also a pun of the word "amplify" ("amp" for short), which means to charge and increase energy, referencing Ampfibian's abilities to absorb, generate, and redirect electrical energy. The word "amphibian" is also used since most are either adapted to water, or generate their own electricity.

- Ampfibian was the Alien of the Month in September 2011.
- Ampfibian and the other Andromeda aliens have powers linked to a certain element; for Ampfibian, it is electricity.
- Ampfibian is the only Andromeda alien that Ben used in the same episode he was scanned in.[3]
- Ampfibian and Armodrillo are the only Andromeda aliens in Ultimate Alien to receive a unique transformation sequence.
- As of Omniverse, Ampfibian and Feedback are the only aliens who generate blue electricity.
- Ampfibian was designed by Steven Choi or Chap Yaep,[DJW 2] and was named by Len Wein.[MW 1]
- Ben 23 has an alternate counterpart of Ampfibian.[DJW 3]
- Years after Omniverse ended, Derrick J. Wyatt revealed that Ben 23's Amperi transformation was named JellyFritz.[DJW 4] However, he declined to specify whether it was conceived during or after production.[DJW 5] Thus, the wiki considers the name non-canon and unofficial.
- Ampfibian was originally not supposed to appear in the dream in Night of the Living Nightmare.[script 3]
- Similar to how Jetray's "Jeffery" nickname originated as a joke amongst the crew, Ampfibian was jokingly referred to as "Aunt Vivian".[DJW 6]
