A Blast from The Past is the third Ben 10: Alien Force comic published in the Cartoon Network Action Pack series, published by DC and Cartoon Network. This story appears in issue 31 of the series.
Plot[]
In Bellwood, a fight is breaking out between the DNAliens alongside Ben as Swampfire and his cousin Gwen, and Kevin Levin is confused to find his badge beeping at him.
Before they can figure out why, the three are shocked to find what they think is Heatblast joining the fight. Soon they find out that it's really Alan Albright. The revelations continue as Alan reveals he overheard his Plumber dad's orders to arrest Kevin!
Telling them about the "all-points bulletin" out for Kevin, Alan reveals the beeping has been him tracking the group through the Plumber badge his father gave him. Kevin, not one for prolonged confrontation, promptly hits Alan, knocking him across the industrial lot they're in.
Breaking up the fight with the threat of Humungoursaur, Ben steps in, allowing Alan to explain that he's just come to warn of what the other Plumbers may do. The four drive off, trying to figure out why Kevin is (only now) wanted by the Plumbers.
Before long, the car is blocked by a group of people brandishing high-tech weapons, ordering them to stop. Kevin doesn't stop, and instead tries to make chase, but is quickly stopped when the group starts shooting and the other three step out to explain themselves.
The heroes' words are met with more laser-fire, with Ben transforming into Chromastone to get to the bottom of the matter. As Ben shoots a warning shot, the group's disguise vanishes, revealing them to be DNAliens.
A fight ensues, with Alan getting stuck by the enemy's resin/goo. Managing to hold off all but one, Alan is about to get rushed by one of the aliens, before Kevin knocks it out saving him.
Both Gwen and Alan voice their happiness to learn Kevin's still one of the good guys. As Alan flies off to clear things up with the real Plumbers, through his dad, Kevin reflects on his own father, and whether he'll make it as a Plumber himself.
